  1. Confirmed that Luke Bowen rides at 6 for the Bandits as guest for Hummel.

After seeing them outgate Scunthorpe last night I reckon the Rockets will have a tough meeting on their hands tonight. Don't be surprised if the Bandits take a point, or even (heaven forbid) a win!!

Bandits banter in full swing last night at Scunny

Is Bowen replacing Sissis? Not seen this on either website. I was gonna come 'cos i've never seen Sissis but not going to go all that way to see Luke for a thousandth time.!!

  2. I texted Tuff today (he was working in his pub in New York State) and he was thrilled he caught someone's attention. I think he'd love another crack at the UK but not in April as we're trying for young 'uns! His amazing pass in his last race at Kings Lynn (before it was stopped) was a tour highlight! Was a pleasure to have him with us!

Tell Tuff then that Parsloes wasn't his only fan! Though initially attracted by his great name, his courage and never say die attitude really impressed. Would love to see him back later in the year, though i'm really excited by the young un's team!

  3. It's not that big an issue, i'm looking forward to this, as long as it'll be a 16 rider field. Will be my last speedway action of 2011 so let's hope it doesn't disappoint!

Is it going to be a 16 man field, or will they continue with the rubbish 12 man fields where at least 7 of them are Rye riders from 1st or 2nd team?I won't bother if it's the latter.

  4. Really looking forward to this, and despite poor weather around large parts of the UK today, 'Lucy' on Daybreak says it is going to remain cloudy but dry and warm in this little corner of East Anglia.

Support for the Young Guns meeting was mysteriously low last week, and with news that next weeks Pride of the East has been cancelled, tonight becomes the penultimate night of track action at the Norfolk Arena.

I know that the majority of 'Stars' fans for some bizzare reason, seem to boycott the third tier of racing, but at the end of the day, this is YOUR CLUB, and they NEED YOUR SUPPORT.

Of course you're not going to see the so called top riders, but at the end of the day, there are still two teams of seven guys, committed to providing high-class entertainment, at only less than a second a lap slower than Grand Prix riders.

One disappointment for many young ladies is the fact that Jaybea won't be putting in an appearance in the Track Shop tonight, but he assures me that plans are in place for merchandise to be sold as normal.

Start time is 7.30pm.........will you be there?

Yep i'm really looking forward to it!

  5. Of course Fishback is one of a kind - I'm sure he will be back some time. Having a young team means continual improvement every event - some of the older riders (McConnell / Nicol) find their level after a match and that is what you get. Note that it's Buman, Stark's and Novratil's stage to shine on, being their third UK trip each - three trips is usually what it takes to get a rider who has it PL ready. Also note Green and Raines are very accomplished riders in the USA and come at a higher level than most of the new kids we bring over.

I think exciting times are ahead!

Really looking forward to seeing Russell, just need to convince someone to drive me to Mildenhall now!
