A lesser rider would not have been in the fence he would have been nowhere near Doyle. Why should Doyle leave him any room?

it was during the second bend so every chance another rider could of been there, using Hume as an example out gated Doyle in a earlier race!...im not saying he should of left room - merely saying that there was never going to be room to go round the outside of him

Hume tries so hard but should realise getting third is preferable to binning it on the last bend of the last lap when half a lap in front of Holde

Holder was an embarrassment, like him as a person and has had some terrible crashes but last night was shameful. It was like the Kings Lynn night  over again.

Lambert is far too big for his boots in my opinion, you make Doyle sound like dirty Nicky which is isn't. Doyle is a very fair rider but hard rider with a great attitude.

Hume is young, still very raw but with the right guidance and someone taking him under there wing, he'll be a decent rider, time will tell.

Doyle isn't dirty, but he verges on the edge of it, he didn't leave Lambert any room and knew full well he was there, not a problem with it but a lesser skilfull rider would of been through the fence.

Speedway needs entertainment, rightly or wrongly people are talking about last nights meeting, which is the rarity for speedway nowadays!

  3. Ipswich got lucky with a few refereeing decision but that's sport.

Hume is pure entertainment-still raw but can gate and if "schooled" will be a heat leader in the future.

Chris Holder looked very poor, is he the new Troy Batchelor!

Rob Lambert, showed great skill to avoid being fenced in heat 15 but there was never going to be a gap to go around Doyle.

Track wasn't that bad if you attacked it.

Emil and Doyle looked on a  different level.

Still think this final has some mileage left in it.

Eurosport, just don't get what that Abi lass brings to the show, more often than not she is in the way in the pits, riders don't look interested in her questions.

  4. two ways of looking at this, now i would imagine there aren't many promoters if any making a profit out of the sport, so where does that golden egg come from?...we all know riders deserve a good crust for their bravery etc...however i think the day will come when a rider will not be able to do a deal for x amount each week/meeting/point...now lets say if the income average £5000 per meeting, the expenditure was £2000 per meeting that leaves £3000 profit per meeting, the promoter takes roughly 25% the remainder is spread then between the riders....any other way then the promoter see's himself in the position they are in now...offering good money in February only to find out in June they have done their proverbials...

Not saying you seem to be the sort of person that believes any two bob crazy conspiracy, but you do

I mean it seems you are not only scared or is it obsessed with trans people, but you even admitted the other day you were scared of using cards to pay. Yet they, if they are as powerful and clever as you think, can track your every move with the mobile phone, the chip they planted in your car or motorbike or even pushbike, or even if you have ever had surgery etc in your body. They can monitor every transaction made in every shop or sporting event. They can even follow you by drone or satellite and can listen in on every convo you have had in your life.. If you are of that persuasion.....B)

just to add, did you know that a well known tyre manufacturer had a chip in tyres that showed when a rider is/was overweight.

Again, several people have commented that the track condition is perfectly understandable, knowing that there are four meetings in five days. The main thing is that the track is not cutting up with holes and ruts everywhere. Something has to be said for that.

yes i would agree that the track hasn't cut up, however the entertainment served up because of track preparation has been poor, very poor. Ata the end of the day what is the point of holding the event if people aren't being entertained?

  7. If ever there was an advert why speedway has this follow the leader stigma, look no further than tonight's WC Team event, track was a disgrace from the very first race, tyre packed to resemble a main road, literally one line. Entertainment value probably 4 out of 10, Tai Woffinden certainly expressed his disgust at the track, not sure who was responsible for it(home track staff or SGP) but surely they can see no one wants a slick one line track, not riders or fans?

Stadium was empty and no disrespect to anyone but seen more at Mass on a Sunday morning.
