  1. British speedway is not as easy as some would have us believe. Track and conditions vary a lot.

    Ipswich 2023

Woffinden, no thanks. Chris Holder, maybe.

    Peterborough Panthers 2023

So, we had one person say Hans had been dropped, or left, a correction from his 'manager' then a freak injury rules him out. Hmmm.

Riss should be nowhere near the premiership next season.
  5. His performances in the premiership this season mirror that including whooping Emil and Doyle around Foxhall earlier in the year, so not just that league.
  6. Certain 5-1 there if Masters had moved a bit wider to block Harris after Nicholls had passed him
  7. Not sure on the decision but looked like Harris hit both Oxford riders
  8. Except when Doyle is the outside rider.

    Leicester vs Kings Lynn 17/7/23

That's because those tracks are easier to ride
  10. However of course, Hume, Riss/Barker and the rs should have done better in all those previous meetings
  11. For me it's nothing to do with averages, it's when he loses at crucial times to second strings and reserves. The points in heat 15 tonight didn't matter but the losses earlier did.
  12. If Emil had gone down would wright have been excluded?
  13. Really unlucky for Panthers there, the win so close.
  14. No contact there but the decision will go for the home rider
  15. King doing his usual there

Kemp wet himself in that race, Lambert did nothing wrong.
  17. Let's hope the racing improves.

Perhaps he's stepping into the promoter void at Peterborough, as it's close to home.
  19. That's right. I wouldn't have had Thorsell down to do much but he was in the mix on Saturday and to finish 11th was creditable, even though others kept trying to have him off!
  20. Indeed, that's why they weren't wild card picks but I've never been one to follow the masses
  21. Kolodziej and Hampel remain good in Poland, the former definitely had merit to be in the GPs (wasn't he injured once qualified or did I dream that?). If all GPs were in Poland (we're getting there ) then they may remain contenders but for me the first two you mention have been in it a long time and will never be world champ so let's give someone else a go - surely one of the definitions of 'wild card'. Currently though, your face has to fit.
  22. That'd be a start! Four who I wouldn't miss - Janowski, Dudek, Madsen, Woffinden.
  23. I remember John Louis breaking the track record at Ipswich in about 1980, 60.8 seconds. I'd expect no matter what the cc, the tuners would have them reviving their bits off and they'd be just as unpredictable but I agree with your argument about changing the equipment is some way.
