Can't someone ask for some 'nostalgic' meetings please? 2019 doesn't really make for great viewing....apologies if one sounds ungrateful....just 'need' entertaining whilst in lockdown : )

Happy to debate this suggestion if anyone's as bored as I am ? LOL

We are reliant on being provided with the meetings . We can ask .

Too many Clubs are still in dark ages of Cash only.

you will be glad to hear that we will have a card facility at Birmingham once we get started again ! Peter has sourced a system that does not require a wi-fi connection

I wished this had been posted here on the forum prior? I rarely look at our website as there's usually nothing to view?

apologies ... we put it on the Brummies Forum , facebook, twitter but forgot this forum . We are planning to make it a regular Weds night feature at 7.30 .

  4. BIRMINGHAM have added Chris Roynon to their track team for 2020.

The former rider and promoter will advise and assist currant track curators Onny Butler and Mick Coleman at Perry Barr.

Roynon has a wealth of experience and having moved back to the Midlands from Cornwall last year he was a regular at Birmingham near the end of the 2019 season.

The father of former Brummie Adam Roynon has known team boss Laurence Rogers for a long time and worked with him at Plymouth .

Rogers believes his addition to the Perry Barr backroom staff is important. “Chris knows all about track preparation and that will be a bonus to Onny and Mick," he said.

"He is loaning us a blade that he has bought that will be of great benefit to us in track work and has a tractor we can use if we need it too.

"With the new shale we sourced last year the track prep team are getting down to getting the Perry Barr circuit in tip-top condition for the new season.

"His addition to the team is important and a big bonus to us .”

Wow, how 1970's is that?  No PayPal, no Apple Pay, No Google Pay, no credit cards, no chip'n'pin, no bank transfers.

I wonder if the season tickets will be properly laminated or just given a coating of "sticky backed plastic" in true Valerie Singleton/John Noakes/Peter Purvis, Blue Peter style?

No wonder young fans aren't attracted when speedway continues to pander to a bygone age.

    BANK TRANSFER IS AVAILABLE .
