    Belle Vue 2022

Is that based on some factual information?

Belle Vue v Peterborough 9th August

Palm Toft has had some really good performances at the NSS in the past & Hans has stated a few times in the past that it is one of the tracks he enjoys most. Nicholls has never been that great here, even when he rode for The Aces. Harris has had mixed results. Not sure whether Wells will do too well & Palin is capable of beating both reserves although Brennan also has plenty of potential. Both Worralls and Kurtz were much better last week, Wright is the only other concern based on that performance. Be interesting to see how the track is prepared as the grip has been mostly on the inside recently.

    Odsal

Obviously he has had involvement in the past, and he is a speedway fan, but I get the impression he has enough on his plate running the stock cars, without the added stress of running a speedway promotion as well.

I was there last night. I believe the official limit was 4,000 and It looked to be somewhere around that mark.

    Polish Extraleague 2020

Not sure if Pawlicki played for it but he turned his front wheel back into Vaculik's back wheel in my opinion. He should have been the one chucked out i would say.

    Polish Extraleague 2020

I was trying to work out whether he had a mechanical problem or simply wasn't good enough.
  7. He said pilot events for sport later this month are on hold didn't he?? The British Final is one of those,
  8. I think it will go ahead. If people stick to the social distancing rules & the management at Foxhall set it up correctly there is no real reason why it shouldn't.
  9. That could have gone either way but I would have excluded Dudek.
  10. Might have to put the scorechart nearer the ground for Janusz
  11. As Flint also came in for Palin maybe it's if you're more than 6 points behind the team that are leading? or just a free for all
  12. Not sure but Kubera has just come in & won heat 6! GB doing ok so far.

    Polish Extraleague 2020

Probably a bit of both. i'm not sure some of these riders merit places riding in the top division to be honest!

    Polish Extraleague 2020

Shocking decision there. Pawlicki should have been allowed to go but got pulled back. Przedpelski did worse & got away with it. Maybe they want to keep the match close lol

Halifax Dukes Riders Of The Past

It was definitely Tormod Langli who broke his arm just before the Easter Monday match at the Shay with Belle Vue. Think the year might have been 1980. It was his second season with us after joining from Bristol.
  18. He also categorically stated that he wouldn't be retiring
  19. If you watch the next GP & see how many riders are moving, however minimal it may be, I think you'll find there are very few who are 100% still.

Next time work commitments prevent you from travelling to a meeting you really wanted to attend, you might realise why some of us have to use a wireless connection whilst watching the event on TV

If that wasn't dangerous riding then it obviously doesn't exist

What does a rider's ability have to do with a piece of dangerous riding?
  24. You can argue all you like about this but the team should remain unchanged unless there is a really obvious weakness in the line up. I don't think there is. Another thing is that riding in the SWC is surely much more intense than riding in any league match or international challenge irrespective of the track. As long as all the Team GB riders have the correct mental attitude, I feel they will make the final & then they have got nothing to lose. Before the tournament began I don't think anybody really expected us to win - the Danes seem to be most people's favourites - if the GB riders really believe in their hearts that they are capable of winning it could happen, if they ride to their potential & more importantly they ride for each other
  25. Great meeting - best I've seen at Sheffield for a few years - although to be fair I only see three/four meetings there each year. Zabik looked very talented - was a bit impetuous in one ride when he fell when he may have been better settling for second - otherwise he looked a very good rider & I could see why he had been linked with Peterborough before they signed Swiderski. Van Weele (perhaps Van Wheelie would b a good nickname for me ) was the best of the lesser known riders - he would make a decent PL 2nd string/reserve I reckon. Felt a bit sorry for Steve Boxall - his ef in Heat 1 was quite costly really. The other Brits did well. Lewis Bridger had a fall when 2nd & also an ef at the start line in his last ride. He didn't make a gate all night but he fought hard. I'm sure he'll be there or thereabouts in 12 months time.
