Strange really, a thrilling night's speedway, with the result in doubt to virtually the end and all anyone can do is bad mouth Hans Andersen. My personal opinion is that Sophie new exactly what the reaction of Hans would be and milked it 'in the name of good telly'. This is not a new reaction is it for goodness sake, just because it is Hans Andersen. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole event and at the end of the day the best team won and more importantly Speedway was the winner.

Bit of a chauvanist then are we?Or are you truly threatened by the weaker sex?Where does it say on your birth certificate that you shall know everything about everything and that the female sex shall defer to you alone People see things differently. What one person sees as dangerous another can't see the problem, that is life.At the end of the day, Scott beat Hans, neither rider was hurt so get over it. -

Just because that doesn't happen to be your philosophy, doesn't mean she didn't have freedom of choice, that is her perogative surely. All sports men, singers actors etc etc have groupies and the Danes are obviously no different. As someone has already mentioned there is NO LOVE lost between Hans and Scot, and all this posting on both threads and all the hype from the biased commentary on Sky has fueled this long running saga again. It was racing for your country, trying to qualify for the World Cup final. You will always have split opinions about riders etc., however, just because someone favours say Hans over Scot does NOT mean that they don't support GB. Freedom of choice in our little island. And at the end of the day Scot BEAT Hans. -

Actually I was nearly sick over a Dane last night, I was eating my supper watching on TV and they cut to a picture of Nicki P stripped to the waist, sweat streaming and blower on...yuck!! not a pretty sight TBH. -

Stress....stress, you want stress Point taken. The other side of the coin you have to consider is not all posters are in fact British even though they live and were possibly born over here. -

Who is this directed at precisely? The females on this forum I suspect. Not all the males who lust after Sophie Blake then. Rather a stupid thing to say really, I think you will find that 'most' Brits support team GB, but not all with "Blind Faith" and rose tinted specs. -
Well said Boxer, once again Nicholls showed his true colours. For goodness sake he won the damn race, just a little hand shake but oh no.

Blimey what a let down that was after Sunday night's thriller. Couple of odd decisions by the ref against Denmark, both involving Charlie, but the tapes farce again, very strange . Think GB might find it hard to qualify on Thursday now, however I hope I'm wrong as I've called both these rounds wrong -
Thank you it's quite clear when it's explained to me.
-
Yes they did in heat 22.
-
Right as it was me that started this, perhaps it is quite literally like this: heat 22 - Gollob is a Tactical substitute for Jagus. heat 24 - Gollob in his own heat is tactical joker. Is this correct.? Whilst I can see this is actually a 'grey' area, I can see how they got away with it I think.!! If taken literally this rule should have stopped this happening, as although one heat was his own, he actually was nominated for 2 tacticals.
-
You are too kind Mr S. However if you go to page 21, where the Tacticals are to be found, I would be grateful of some help. The last paragraph states and I quote: "No rider will be permitted more than one nomination, either as a Tactical substitute or as a Tactical joker" Am I taking this too literally or should Tomasz have done either/or and not both.As I said your help would be appreciated. Thanks Badge.
-
Sorry I wasn't trying to be controversial at all, merely asking why this is allowed that the same rider in effect has 2 tactical rides?
-
I must admit, my first reaction was that Crumpie caused that particular crash, but my other half felt the Finn rode into the back of him. I too felt that the ref allowed quite a lot of 'rolling' at the starts. How was Gollob allowed to take Jagus' place and his own as a joker in the last 5 races. I did enjoy the meeting very much though, much much closer than anyone predicted I think. Poor Mark looked really nervous, but I do think Thursday will be much more difficult to qualify, I think Kolodziej will be in for the Poles in stead of Jagus.

Unfortunately Chris didn't get the call up and has not been measured for a race suit, he is working for Sky instead. -

Team GB's race suits are being made and one person who hasn't been measured is Chris Louis so looks like he is not in the team. Obviously in form riders don't feature in Middlo's plans then -

He obviously filled the gap (very successfully as it turned out) last year, and now better Polish nationals are available it's thanks but no thanks.Does he want a GB passport? -
Am I putting 2 and 2 together and making 5 but could this dip in Gollob's form have anything to do with his brother being dropped from their Polish team, as Gollob isn't riding very well there either.
-
Great to see Kim Jansson had a good debut for Smederna last night scoring 7 + 1.

That is somewhat misleading, as in the EL and the Polish league, Pepe is really flying, so think he would be a good bet. Think this is the year for the Danes. -
Probably the Championship team winners there.

Nobody is mentioning Danny King He's 19 years old and will finish his doubling up learning curve this year, OK he hasn't blasted onto the scene like Lewis has but surely he will be in the reckoning.
