    Olsen Must Go

The track tonight was a complete disgrace - and was a direct cause of several accidents. Olsen should be sacked with immediate effect. All the best Rob

    Gp Series 2009

Nicholls really did disappoint tonight. There's no way he should he failed to qualify for the semi-finals - the move on Fosberg was daft. All the best Rob

    2008 Gp Leaderboard

Do you know the first thing I do when there's a thread I'm not supposed to post on? All the best Rob

Are Pearson & Tatum At The Track?

I noticed it at the pub in Kidlington too. All the best Rob
  5. Actually, a bit of pledge might come in handy after you've had all your locks chopped off Looks like Paul Guest has pledged £10 on the Oxford forum. I'll double my original £5 to £10, so by my calculations that makes £75 so far. All the best Rob
  6. Bryn - I think you're confusing me with another Peasepud. Anyway, where's old Parsloes - he's been going on about your face fungus for weeks - will he put his money where his mouth is? All the best Rob

  11. Is that in riding order, Schumi? All the best Rob
  12. One question: had this been a GP round, would Bjarne Pedersen refused to ride? All the best Rob
  13. Unfortunately, the donkey derby finished in controversy, after the four top donkeys agreed to split the winner takes all prize of 60 carrots between them. A bridge is now being built over the North Sea to accommodate those without swimming gear wanting to join the end of the queue. The other end of the bridge will be in Sweden, so people are reminded to take their passports with them. All the best Rob
  14. Will the "living dead" be included in the attendance figure for the meeting? All the best Rob
  15. LATEST NEWS The queue has now reached Skegness - and out onto the beach. Anyone joining the back of the queue has been advised to bring their water wings. Also, members of the public are warned that the local coastguard will not be available to help, as they are all already in the queue. All the best Rob
  16. Try to keep up-to-date Peter... All the best Rob
  17. The Speedway Star website says: "World Champion Nicki Pedersen could be in hot water with the authorities". Tomorrow's issue is likely to be an interesting read. All the best Rob
  18. Johno is a legend, Badge, you've signed a top guy for this year. I hope Johno's meeting is a huge success, he certainly deserves it. I also hope that Colincooke and the Concrete Cowboy are not let within one square mile of his organising committee. All the best Rob
  19. I agree entirely. The Poole promotion cannot be criticised for their lofty ambition, and the riders have let them down badly. All the best Rob
  20. So the crowd increased by 1000 after the meeting had started? And yes, I did watch a couple of later races after the interval on the third/fourth bend (after coming around for a chinwag with someone) and still it was only 1 deep around there. I'll stick to the estimate of 4000 provided by Rabbit and Bob C - at least, they don't live in fantasy land. Let me repeat that I thought it was a real shame that the meeting didn't attract a capacity crowd, after the tremendous amount of promotional work put in by Matt Ford. All the best Rob
  21. Well, you've just solved all the Elite League's problems. We'll just get all the riders to ride for nothing. I think money might be quite important to riders, somehow. All the best Rob
  22. Rabbit - as usual it's left to yourself or Bob C to be the voice of reason. Incidentally, Bob reckoned around 4,000 when I saw him there yesterday - you two are a better judge than myself at Poole attendances, so around 4,000 it was. Certainly puts those claiming that they were 5,500 there in their place. All the best Rob
  23. When I go there at 2.30pm, people without tickets were walking straight into the stadium - there wasn't a queue. And anyone who thinks there was 5000 people there yeseterday is wrong - the 3rd/4th bend was nearly empty (it was only 1 deep at the front). For a critical Poole vs Oxford match in August 2001 it was PACKED. And before, I get accused of being anti-Poole, can I make it clear that I have applauded Matt Ford's heavy promotion of the meeting throughout. He's set an example for others follow. He deserved a capacity crowd. But unfortunately there some Pirates fan who live in cloud cuckooland. All the best Rob
