  1. On Saturday I paid £3 each to get the kids in and £10 for my OAP dad. Were you really there Saturday?
  2. I've been told I'm in the BT stand. Apparently I was there last year. If it's anything like last year though i won't spend my time in one place for too long and I'll end up doing a tour of stadium and watching the racing from all corners.
  3. Can't argue with that. Rather see them two than the alternative also rans.
  4. Because the Glasgow pair will offer far more entertainement and thus generate more gate money than the crass Edinburgh pair. I'm not saying that means the decision is fair just the way I see it.
  5. I'm not happy, you left out Rye House.
  6. If he was available for UK racing I would suggest there would be a lengthy queue. He came off in his first ride whilst putting Tai under pressure but after that was wheel perfect. His colours were only lowered again in his last ride by Ivanov but 2nd place was all that he required to win the meeting. I will follow his career with some interest and hopefully he will ride for a UK club one day.
  7. He was not far off the pace but on a tough track was caught a little short of fitness in my opinion. He was particularly unlucky when comfortably leading his 3rd ride only for a spillage at the back and a re-run which he did not make on time. He ended up with 3 points but that was not a measure of how well he rode. He came down in one ride when trying to make a move round the outside but the track was just too heavy on the outside at that time & I think his fitness would have had something to do with that. 3 points should have been 6 and without the early fall who knows, he could have been in the next round.
  8. Glad I ended up going. Despite the negative remarks about the meeting on here I enjoyed it. The best man definitely won.
  9. referee says the meeting will start. A decision will be made at 7.00 as to when. there are blus skies heading our way so I presume that the feeling is if they can start they can finish. Pure supposition on my part though. I would like to offer text but the form book says i'll be half pi$$ed by heat 8.
  10. Just spoke to my mate who is track side who in his words said that it is "effing pi$$ing down". He is going to ring me in 5-10 minutes and let me know what is going on. Looks like i probably won't chance it.
  11. Just rung the track again and have been told the decision will now be made at 6.30. It is raining at the track but every effort will be made to race the meeting. I suppose we knew the latter point given that it is an FIM event. I'm probably going to chance it so this might be the last you from me for a while.
  12. Just rung the track. the ref will be making a decision on whether (no pun intended) the meeting will go ahead at 6.00pm.
  13. I live 4 miles down the road from the track with the weather heading from my direction to the track. We have had a shower for about 5-10 minutes but it has stopped now. overcast but still quite bright.
