  1. Robert Lambert is still a very young man we all forget this,of course he needs to grow up,The lad is 16 years old. I can tell you from years of experience on these things,we the public expect far to much from these young men, they do need to mature ,like we all had to do.I think just because they ride like champions we expect them to act like them, well news for you all that just is not going to happen.16 years of age for most young men is not old enough to look at things in a mature manner, what ever the facts are.One thing I would like to say is there will only be one winner and it is not going to be Robert. The B.S.P.A will have the last say and so they should, they do control the sport in the UK.Rules are made for every one, break the rule for one, then you open up the flood gates. PLEASE do not judge Robert for his comments,he needs to mature a wee bit,at 16 years of age that is not a crime.Back the lad, enjoy his talent ,and lets hope one day he brings home the bacon for TEAM GB and not GERMANY.
  2. If you would like to enjoy Photos of the Scholarship riders in Australia just ask to join the Facebook group The Boocock Speedway Scholarship 2014-2015. Its a little bit of fun,Never before images of the Scholarship from 2008 until today. Lets just hope we can have one more Tour......Fingers crossed. Thank you
  3. I would like to start of the post by saying the only person to blame for the scholarship tour not running this season was myself,After 9 months of planning and a vast amount of money spent on equipment i was left with very little choice other than to cancel the tour due to my accident. It would be fair to say that all the riders selected felt let down,It would also be fair to say that all the sponsors and scholarship team felt let down, but after much hard work trying to keep the tour running the scholarship team was left with no other choice other than to cancel the tour. As far as the scholarship is concerned we tried the best we could to still make the tour happen,we had some offers of help however we felt it was in the best interest of all concerned to cancel the tour. Some problems just could not be overcome like transport, lodgings ,and behind the scenes support.I cant go into micro details, however no rock was left unturned trying to overcome each and every problem. I must also say that no sponsor is out of pocket, any monies placed into the scholarship fund have either been repaid in full or are in the process of being paid back in full. I dont handle any sponsorship donations ,they are looked after by others, every penny which we are lucky enough to receive in either sponsorship or donations is spent on equipment and other misc items like tyres, oil, fuel etc etc etc.Trust me there is no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. I fully respect each and ever rider selected for this years scholarship tour, there is not one rider that has upset the scholarship team,There is not one rider who would not be welcome again. Each and every rider at times must do what they think is right for them, the same applies to the scholarship. Each and every one of those riders selected and toured in Australia is like family to the scholarship team.My wife and i treat each lad as if they were our own.........The riders are not to be blamed for the tours failure this year....... This years tour was a massive undertaking We tried......I failed......its that simple. thank you marcus
  4. MANY THANKS TO BURY MOTORCYCLE CENTRE FOR YOUR SPONSORSHIP.
  5. A VERY BIG THANK YOU TO SIMPLYALFA FOR YOUR SPONSORSHIP.....
  6. The scholarship is pleased to advise those who have followed the scholarship over the past 6 years, that we will be running a tour to Australia this year .It will be our biggest and best yet.The scholarship will travel all over Australia. The tour starts in Western Australia on the 23rd of November and finishes late January 2014 in Queensland. This years tour will be the scholarships last, but watch out for news regards a scholarship team touring the united kingdom next season.Any body who wants to help or be involved in this years tour can contact me on EMAIL. morstonemanor@hotmail.com we have space remaing on our bike covers, and would welcome your support.I would like to thank all our regular sponsors and would like to welcome a few new ones this year.
  7. hi ...thats a good question, each rider has a cost associated with them.3k depending on the club and rider might well cover two more additional british lads.we arnt being tight however the cost of the tour this year mushroomed due to very few local meetings. for next years tour i will lay it all out for every body to get an idea of the costs.some times adding one extra rider could increase the costs two fold.it depends on transport etc.the scholarship has grown very quickly and we have had a hard time keeping up with bikes engines etc.its just endless...however its most rewarding. riders can put there names foward, and it helps if the rider can help pay his way either via the club or sponsors. if you had a rider in mind and he was on our radar we would be happy to look at what the costs would be. we dont expect the full cost to be met by the rider, however next years tour will require all riders to help a little. we will be racing in every state in australia over a 10 week period....miles to travel will exceed 20,000 klms, then of course theres food, motels etc etc etc etc.im more than happy to have people offer advice and ideas to the scholarship,so if your interested in helping just email me on morstonemanor@hotmail.com or visit our web site www.ozbrit.com
  8. last year we had the following new riders on tour...richie worrall, steven worrall, tom perry and ashley morris...so mungo im just not sure how you can say what you have.every rider in the uk who is british and shows interest in the scholarship has a chance to tour. this season would have seen riders like ashley birks, dan greenwood and ben reade get a chance along with perhaps a few others. the scholarship likes to give every rider from every club the chance to tour, however im not chasing them, they need to talk to me via email and phone etc. there are some lads who havent been invited to ozzie who have shown interest because my contacts in the uk feel it would be wasted on them.this year we have tom perry out only for the second time,we like to give the young riders at least two or three years if we feel they deserve it.kyle howarth comes out again to defend his queensland championship, kyle newman like wise.kyle came out last year but couldnt ride due to injury.kyle resides with our family for the winter period yet due to injuries has only rode for two years out off four. i really get sick of all the negative comments via guys like you on this forum, heres a great idea mungo......raise 3000 pounds and tell me which rider you would like to send out.its bloody hard work getting this tour of the ground each year, its none-profit,we do it because we love speedway....however the keyboard warriors give me the ....well best not said. for those of you who want other riders out on tour its easy.......back the brits by putting your hands in your pockets like us ozzies do.then you are more than welcome to have a say on who tours and who doesnt.
  9. IF YOU WOULD LIKE UPDATES AND RESULTS YOUR TIME IS WASTED ON THIS NARROW MINDED SITE ....FULL RESULTS ETC ALONG WITH LATEST NEWS CAN BE FOUND ON.......www.ozbrit.com and worldspeedway.com the scholarship in no way has any interest in the narrow minded site and its pommie bashing attitude......... please big fat day just dont waste your time with these plonkers cheers
  10. hi star comet welcome to the real world mate, the darren and sharon boocock speedway scholarship runs a tour to australia each year trying to help and bring on young british talant.in our stable over the last three years have been riders like JOSH AUTY,KYLE NEWMAN AND KYLE HOWARTH.its fair to say these young riders have benefitted from touring australia......go to www.ozbrit.com. however we do it on our own, very little help from british speedway, infact we gain most of our help from australian companies. this forum in fact has made life hard ,its closed and locked my main thread which is used to promote the scholarship..........im sorry to say mate even when british speedway gets help it kicks you in the guts. im sure this topic will be locked after i vent my words.....well you do live in a country with no free speech dont you. and im sure i will be black listed or what ever, buts heres the facts mate in ten years you will have no british speedway riders, all the help goes to overseas riders if you cant get help from the BRITISH SPEEDWAY FORUM WHAT CHANCE DO YOU HAVE. its a crying shame mate because british speedway has some great talant in it......jason garrity, ashley morris, kyle howarth, kyle newman.....just to name a few.......BUT WAKE UP YOU POMS THEY NEED YOUR HELP. In australia we help all our juniors, not just the odd one.we put time and money into it as our talant pool shows.great britain needs a dead set kick up the backside. those young lads who rode for great britain did there best however its a shame they get very little help. no wonder the crowds at british speedway tracks are so poor.only you the british paying public can change the way things are run.As for the scholarship we will keep running without the help of the BSPA and alike. if you want to catch up with riders picked and our programe of events it will be best to go to www.ozbrit.com because all we get on this site is rules ,rules and more dam rules.

    Aussie Titles: Who's In

kyle newman and josh auty nominated for the ozzie championships, seems even thou only 18 riders nominated for the senior championships they still arnt wanted or required. the bulldust regards the championships being closed or open is a crock of s@@t as theY can change there sub regs at will. it seems the same bulls@@t we have been dealing with in queensland has also infested its way into the australian section of riders selections. one rider has benefited from the poms injustice and he has made both championships. one thing that the public doesnt understand, kyle newman held a full queensland licence a couple of years ago.due to a request from motorcycling queensland he was asked to not renew his queensland licence because of insurance issues. thus motorcycling queensland ,motorcycling australia and other state bodies made there championships open to FIM ACU licence holders. we have people within the sport who cant understand the paying public have a right to see the best 16 riders who would like to compete, not riders, who ride in the uk with a low average which sees to reduce each and every season they ride the injustice served up to nick morris is a real discrace, however we let it happen because its not what you know, its who you know ....which is laid out for every body to see. WHATS WRONG WITH KYLE NEWMAN......IVAN PLEASE EXPLAIN WHY NOT GIVE THE KID A GO WHY NOT PLEASE THE PAYING PUBLIC WHY NOT REWARD A STATE CHAMPION WHY NOT GIVE THE KID A GO AS HE DID NOMINATE,OR DID THAT NOMINATION ARRIVE FIVE MINUTES LATE....... IM SURE WHAT WILL HAPPEN RULES WILL BE MADE UP ALONG THE WAY.......WHATS NEW....
