  1. And there'll come a Saturday in the season when you and your mystery friend will want to go to Rye House AND Stoke, but can only go to one of them. Choices choices...Shall we re-work the entire fixtue list just to suit you?
  2. Maybe he wasn't no good at maths AT school, but was pretty pants at maths everywhere else?
  3. Oh, sorry, I forgot that all the "top stars" have chosen to ride the Newport track. Won't be anyone left for Birmingham. You'd best go there then. Us Brummies fans will just have to make do with this years Brummies team and assorted Brummies rejects and "Old Brummians".
  4. would be the perfect slap in GD's face if UO's front door "unexpectedly" just needed an extra layer of gloss on it.
  5. Maybe, maybe not...Brent might become a Fun Tigger. They need his services as much as Newport do. Interesting to see who was being friendly to who in the pits during the meeting...
  6. Hmmm, wish we could have had Chris Holder and Zorro in that line up as well, just to give the EL geezers a bit more of a PL tester. Still, it should be a good lark, and a little birdy tells me that there may be a surprise visitor to Perry Barr for this one...

    German News

Yes, but I'll be coming to Germany next year. Is the German Championship always at this time of year? Also, where are Gustrow and Stralsund? I was hoping for somewhere no more than an houre or so by train from Munich, which is why I was hoping that Olching or Landshut might have something happening there?

    German News

Hi I am planning a trip to Oktoberfest in 2008, and would like to know if the season is still active at the end of Sept, so that I can get on a train to Olching or Landshut (or somewhere) to see some genuine German speedway action. Thanks in advance for any help Martin

    Issue 18

The fans of Birmingham Brummies have lots to thank Ray Wilson for, as well as the fellow fans of Leicester. Ray was instrumental in pulling the Brummies out of the "First Division" doldrums by their bootlaces. Ray has many friends in Birmingham, and we all hope that he will be there on our Opening Night on 21 March, to celebrate our return.
  11. In the land of the blind, the one eyed man becomes king... ...but let's thank the one eye'd man for describing the light, as without that, all else would be darkness.
  12. I'd just like to say that after 23 years it was SO GOOD to have a Brummie to shout for! Also very pleased that Brent Werner, (our #4) was more than just holding his own against EL / GB / SGP (thanks to Bomber for that accolade) riders. If our top 3 are better still then the season will be well worth looking forward to...
