I've got other commitments on Thursday evening which I'd already agreed to do before we arranged the match at Sheffield, unfortunately.

I'm after the programme from the Reading Racers vs. Cradley Heathens match from 22nd April 1996 which was postponed early afternoon on the day. A programme was printed for this meeting but it was never used. I require this programme to complete my Cradley collection from that season so if anyone has got a copy of this programme that they'd be willing to sell, then please get in touch.

The Dudley Heathens star notched a bumper 30-points in two meetings for his Premier League club Newcastle to help them through to the next round of the Knockout Cup. And experts have immediately installed him as the clear favourite to add his name to the glittering list of winners of the prestigious ‘Hammer’. He said: “I feel really confident and it would mean so much to me to win the Golden Hammer, it should be a great night. “But there are a lot of top riders in the meeting and you can’t afford a bad ride. DUDLEY Heathens launch a new season of racing at their temporary Wolverhampton home with a revenge mission against the USA Tourists on Tuesday (7.30). The former Cradley club, who have trebled their season ticket sales after only one season back in the sport, are expecting a bumper crowd to see the battle for the Travel Plus Trophy. Adam Roynon, Luke Chessell and Darryl Ritchings will get their first experience of riding for the Heathens in front of their home fans. Dudley are looking to gain revenge after their defeat by the Tourists on their opening night last season. Boss Will Pottinger said: “It’s a big night for us all and this is the night we have all been waiting for through the long, dark winter months. “It’s a chance for us to lift the Travel Plus Trophy and we’re determined to do it in front of our own supporters, especially after they beat us last season.” The tourists include ‘Uncle’ Doug Nicol, who was based in Cradley during his British career with Middlesbrough. HEATHENS hero Tom Perry has finalised his new deal to ride for the club for a second successive season. Perry, 17, was rider-of-the-year last season, his first as a speedway rider after making a sensational switch from Grass track racing. Now he is aiming to take his career up another level after pledging his future to the former Cradley club just a few days before his 18th birthday (February 22). He will sign a full professional contract with the club at that time. The deal has been made possible with the help of former Cradley riders Mark Robinson and Anthony Boyd who have come to the rescue with transport arrangements for the youngster. Said Perry: "I'm determined to make a career out of Speedway and feel I made a good, solid start last season. "People tell me I need to improve my starting which is fair enough, but I don't think the management want me to because they like the entertainment factor when I have to race from the back! "The support was amazing last season and I'm pleased to be back. The team is looking good and I would like to thank all the people who are helping me out and all those who have made it possible so far for me to ride Speedway. And what a great club to ride for!" DUDLEY Heathens have promoted teenager Darryl Ritchings into their starting line-up for the new season. Ritchings, 16, spent last season patiently waiting for his chance as the team's stand-by rider but was also hit by injury and bike problems. Now he's been handed a full 2011 team spot and will start the campaign in one of the vital reserve spots on a 3-point average. He joins skipper Jon Armstrong, big winter signing Adam Roynon and Ashley Morris in the side - and fans' favourite Tom Perry should be confirmed soon. Said Darryl: " I can't wait for the season to start, I'm really looking forward to joining the Heathens again this season as last year I was No. 8. Just to clarify, Adam did finish on a PL average of 3.95 last season but with a 5% reduction that all British riders receive for team building, he'll start the 2011 PL season on a 3.85 average. When doubled for a National League average, this is of course 7.70.

The Yorkshire youngster has jumped at the chance to return to the former Cradley club as a replacement for the ill Darryl Ritchings. Sarjeant lost his place with the Heathens in the summer when they brought in Aussie ace Micky Dyer and now rides for Bournemouth. Heathens boss Will Pottinger said: "Sarj jumped at the chance when I asked him and it will be nice to see him back in Heathens colours. It shows to everyone there are no hard feelings between us and we still think very highly of him."
