Probably down to making sure Kemp doesn't get an average if he was to ride in league meetings, making sure he goes into next season on a 3 average.Only Jenkins and Ruddick of those named rode for the Tigers last night at Plymouth depriving the paying public of a close meeting.

Looking at the dates available, it's gonna have to be an evening meeting. Unless the eagles cancel their meeting next Sunday.
Or make it a double header.
-
Good to hear that they made the wrong decision on a consistent basis. As others said on other threads these decisions were made despite what the rules say in black and white
Different rules for the Play Offs. This is a cup match.

Could be another farce meeting tomorrow. Glasgow have rearranged their KO Cup match which was postponed tonight to tomorrow and are saying that Bewley and Smith will be riding for them. That means the Colts will be without Bewley, Smith, Bickley who fractured his foot last night, Payne who has a long term shoulder injury and Mellish who also has a broken foot. This leaves Shuttleworth and Woodhull.
Whilst having sympathy with Glasgow why rearrange a meeting to a date when it was already known the Colts would be riding in an important meeting.
No doubt we will have guests and r/r but it is going to be yet another shambles of a meeting.[/quote
How long has Lee Payne been out for? Surely Belle Vue could have full time replaced him or has it suited them to be going R/R with Bewley, Bickley and Smith gaining extra rides?

For the 2 play-off meetings between Wolves & Swindon, the cameras kept panning the HUGE crowds watching. Last night, I don't remember once the cameras panning the crowd. Could anyone tell me whether the crowd last night was much bigger than a normal Sheffield meeting, as there didn't seem to be a lot there. Or was the crowd that low because everyone realised what a farce of a meeting it was.
Haven't seen any reply to this post as all the posts now seem to be about the clubs statements. So I will ask again out of curiosity what was the crowd size like last night compared to the rest of the season.

Plymouth qualified for this final way back in June. If it had been run then . Plymouth would have had a full 1-7As I have said before, the NT is a joke.
Starts at beginning of season with just SIX teams.
The Final is held in the middle of winter with SIX Guests and both teams having R/R ???
Then again this is Speedway,a joke of a sport in this Country.

Said in an earlier post that Devils needed at least to win by 20 at home. It will be close on Sunday and much will depend on if Edwards can nick a point or 2, a lot to ask of the young man even though 15 yr old Drew Kemp was flying at Plymouth last night for Mildenhall. Very impressed by Kemp.
Bailey and Morley will be ok for a few pts. Young Atkins should do better than last time but can't see Andrews or Walker doing much. Hope it's A Devils win but don't think 18 is quite enough.
Should have done the lottery last night. Afraid to say my worst fears came true and
Mildenhall nicked it in a run off. Well done to both sides I bet the atmosphere was cracking. I hope the final was well attended.

Very impressed by Kemp.I fancy mildy to absolutely stuff Plymouth on sunday, they should have won by miles more against a very very weak side

Mildenhall much stronger for the Home leg with Mountain returning and Anders Rowe replacing Ruddick ( taken from Fen website)
For The Devils Bailey and Jason Edwards guest at 5 & 6. Devils need a healthy lead from the 1st leg. Got to be looking at a lead of at least 20pts to take to Mildenhall on Sunday.

I get BTSport on Virgin Media. Both meetings are on their programme schedule for 19.30hours on Monday and Wednesday on BT Sport 1.
Both legs are showing on my BT guide planner for next week.

Hopwood riding again, last night for Bailey tonight for wood I think. It is a peculiar time scale for the ban!
Whos in for Wood tonight? And is it Kemp at number 6?
Regarding the ban. I would guess that the thought behind banning him from only home matches would be to penalise the club more . If you get a guest in for an Away match you could get in a track specialist which would be to the clubs advantage.

I agree with that Cousins has not even looked like winning a race and Locke has been much bettter out of the two, strange decision in my opinion. Really glad Edwards has been given a chance though.
Press release only says Jason replaces Connor for the Home meeting. Might be that he will replace Cousins at Belle Vue.

Ellis with wrist injury and Bates withdrawn at Glasgow tonight. Neil Vatcher's phone must be white hot at the moment. Hope the boys are OK.
Harris and Nichols are free at the moment.

Of the original line up, 10 were present. Smith & Mountain were injured. Ayres pulled out some time ago and the only ones to pull out on the day were Knight and Davey.
Sorry but not 10. From the original line up announced on 05/09/17 on The BSPA only 7 rode yesterday Bewley, Williamson, Cockle, Bowen,Roynon, Bacon and Bailey.

Hurry and Boxall were competing in the frittenden flyer grass track meeting in kent yestetday. I'm surprised both riders were not in the NLRC.
Both riders were not top of their teams averages when original line up was made.
-
Bowen will own Boxall and Roynan tonight. Kent to win by more than a dozen.
Wrong on both counts.

What about refunds for people who can't go? Should get £8 at least really
Quite agree and free entry to those with rain off tickets from the original DH meeting. This issue shouldn't even be up for debate, promoter has the nerve to think he's doing us a favour by reducing the price. Can see a lot of angry people at the turnstiles.
-
Plymouth should be scoring between 30-40, hopefully nearer 40 which will make it a close match.

Tai £50 more
Janowski £50 more
Zmarzik £50 more
Pawlicki £50 more
Go on Tai

On that sort of average he has to be in. Careful planning needs to be done to stop any clashes with KK SEC fixtures and Chris's Long track commitments, that's if we do run Saturday fixtures. Wonder if Branford will be back next year. To me he badly let us down at the beginning of the season, maybe he rode too much with the injury he had.

Was it announced who was Mr Rocket for 2017 and how much was collected for the Speedway Benelovent Fund?

Mildenhall V Eastbourne / Iow Sunday 29th October
in National League Speedway

The replacements for Mountain and Armstrong at Plymouth were an SDL rider Nethercott and the Eastbourne reserve Matt Bates. How's that for putting out a weakened team denying the Plymouth public of a decent meeting, and also no Kemp or Sam Woods at reserve another SDL rider. The public at Plymouth were very short changed by the team Mildenhall put out last. Friday.
