Do they get priority as their meeting was in place first. Could Redcar use a 3* rising star i.e. Leon Flint to replace Ryan who is on a 3 point average? If they could may make for an interesting night.
Jenkins is already declared as Redcar's Rising Star (2*) so Flint could not replace Kinsley even if the NDL fixture takes priority over this match on Tuesday

Whenever I have seen this, an NHS ambulance has done the transfer. I just wonder if it may not be as straightforward, as people think. The trend is to shy away from responsibility, in this blame and claim society. Obviously some injuries are more serious than others. Again I would stress, I don't know, the regulations, that the paramedic companies work to.
Given the widely reported crisis in the NHS, including ambulance services , as a result of Covid, it appears you cannot rely on pre-Covid levels of response times.
I would be very surprised if other non-NHS forms of patient transport would be prevented from delivering those requiring hospital treatment to A & E, where appropriate.
It was a paramedic ambulance that eventually ferried Sarj for hospital treatment tonight.

There's a simple way to avoid Play-Off congestion, namely scrap 'em and recognise the team that finishes top of the league table as Champions.
When Play-Offs were introduced in the 2nd Tier, there was talk that this would attract tv interest. Well we're still waiting!
Add in the weather deteriorates in late Autumn and also there's a scramble by some clubs to strengthen up at the last minute & jettison existing team members like bits of flotsam.

EDINBURGH: Sam Masters, Anders Rowe, Kye Thomson, Josh Pickering, Richie Worrall, Drew Kemp, Jason Edwards.
Been told according to SCB regs, Edwards cannot guest for Edinburgh as he already guested for Brum in 1st leg.

Will Redcar be live streaming the Sunday 2nd leg?

Riders not chosen in declared teams go in to an "assistance pot" where they are allowed to assist any team up to a maximum of appearances.
Riders earn more, lessens doubling up/down, team identity no longer guest/joke issue.
Don't expect those that end up in any "assistance pot" would hang around for the odd booking, so how would they earn more?
Likewise how would 6 man teams reduce doubling up/down unless you capped the number per team. If this was introduced would also reduce earnings potential of some of those who rode in both PL & CL, but no longer able to do so.

Newcastle not running with R/R now as Paul Starke will be Guesting in place of Matty Wethers and Birmingham will be using James Sarjeant at 6 as Paco Castagna is on International duty. They will still be using R/R for James Shanes
NEWCASTLE: Ben Barker, Connor Mountain, James Wright, Max Clegg, Paul Starke, Archie Freeman, Adam Roynon.
BIRMINGHAM: Chris Harris, Josh McDonald , James Shanes R/R, Ashley Morris, Erik Riss, James Sarjeant, Leon Flint.

Why is Grobauer missing in the first place?
He is not one of the German senior pairing (Huckenbeck & Smolinski) in Semi-Final Two of the SON @ Daugavpils on Saturday.
Given his poor form, it is "convenient" & advantageous that McDonald can replace the German on Sunday

Well Grobauer rode for Landshut @ Rawicz on Saturday in the 2nd leg of the Play - Offs semis & completed his 4 programmed rides

At the turnstile on entry, was asked if I wished to donate to the SRBF, which I did.

Damming quote on FB after tonight's match from soon to be retired & former Birmingham rider, Aaron Summers:-
"track is the worst I've ridden in the UK and I use to love Birmingham being 1 of my home tracks was like a billiard table then. Now you need a mx bike to ride it"

Well Nowak looked decent amongst some quality riders tonight.
When he eventually comes in at Glasgow as a reserve, will be no surprise if he starts scoring heavily from the outset and have up to 7 rides per meeting.
It might have been a testing time for the Tigers between Sedgmen leaving & not having Nowak available immediately, but this could be a case of short term pain for long term gain, when the Play Offs start

And Birmingham will be thinking the same as they are there after us.

Sure at the time, medical advice was 6 weeks before considering riding again.

Announced as Archie Freeman tonight.
Assuming guests henceforth, Bickley, Kinsley, & Edwards have lower GSAs than the retired Greaves.
Seems Rising Stars are eligible with Freeman for Greaves tonight?

Well if true, it must be to replace Lawson and at last they've belatedly got rid of someone whose machinery must rank as the poorest prepared in the CL.
It will be a blessing not have to endure him regularly being underpowered or failing to complete races because of mechanical issues.
Sure "Oor Wullie" has got trackcraft, but it was pointless if he was always piloting a lawnmower

9 minutes ago, szkocjasid said:The September averages are up to 23rd of August so should already be "declared" if Eastbourne's results were expunged (hope it doesn't happen) I'd expect the averages to change for October!
There have been amended GSAs issued previously at short notice, so it is a possibility that a revision as suggested by Gambo could still be published by 28th August.
-
6 minutes ago, Gambo said:Current GSA's could change if the rumours of the sad demise of Eastbourne turn out to be true.
I believe that all Eastbourne matches would be expunged from the records with Eastbourne riders reverting to their 2021 starting average.
So any team that has raced against Eastbourne would therefore probably have their averages re-calculated too.
If correct, some heavy duty recalculations need to be expedited if the cut off date for team changes is still 28th August

Possibly Kerr for Ostergaard & Brennan for Wells would fit under current GSAs

If Crang cannot beat Terry-Daley (who does a nice impression of a nodding toy dog @ the starting line btw ), and score an actual point, then it's time to look elsewhere or give Rothery a chance instead.

Having watched the live stream of the Danish League match yesterday, Basso was impressive, and top scored for Fjelsted with 13.
With Ben Cook also successfully returning after injury, Pirates must now be favourites to do the double.

Note you did not answer the questions re the bowser, nor expecting paying customers to meekly continue turning up and endure dust clouds.
If you were there, were the comments on Live Updates about the track conditions exaggerated or inaccurate?

Quote on Live Updates proceeding ht13 :- "Water bowers is driving round but its not on"
What happened to the monies raised by the Go Fund Me appeal which I thought was intended to repair/replace damaged track equipment?
Perhaps either Rogers or Mason can explain why it appears they still do not have a functioning bowser.
Given the feedback from those who attended about extreme dust conditions, how can the Brum Promotion expect to retain, never mind attract additional customers.
Obviously it's a personal choice whether to attend future meetings, but I certainly would not be inclined to part with my money to endure dust clouds as part of the "entertainment package"!

10 hours ago, Grand Central said:I find it pretty disgusting that the BSI mouthpiece website speedwaygp.com has had absolutely nothing to say about the passing of Mr Rising.
The omission should be seen as as disrespectful enough just because of the man's stature in the sport.
But when one considers that he has been one of the strongest public advocates of the SGP system and that without his personal support at the helm of the sports premier journal it is doubtful that the whole circus would have seen the success it has.
Add in the dark days of BSI cock-ups at Gelsenkirchen, Gothenburg, Warsaw and the Cardiff shale fiasco where Philip refused to sharpen his journalistic knife and stab at the culprits. Instead he chose to play the long game, hold back on public criticism and allow the series to regroup for the greater good of the sport.
On top of that he played a great part as Olsen's assistant in the pits at just about every GP for years and years.
To not even acknowledge his passing on the public website is utterly disgraceful . Shame on you BSI.
Belatedly there is now a tribute by Paul Bellamy:-
https://www.speedwaygp.com/news/article/9156/bellamy-pays-tribute-to-rising
Only briefly met him when staying in same hotel in Udine for last Italian GP, and he updated us on what had happened in the UK on the Friday.
Although the internet is now widely used for instant news & results, you cannot beat the Speedway Star for quality news & articles which I have always enjoyed reading at my leisure, and PR was at the helm in maintaining it's high standard for our benefit.

Were you at the meeting as there were several track grades & some of the home riders & the Manager were directing remedial work @ the entry to the 1st bend.
However the Gladiators blew away the Monarchs over the last 3 heats & thoroughly deserved their 10 pt win

1 hour ago, MANSE said:What would you have said if we went with r/r and Jensen was injured in his first ride except for Cook the other 4 could only beat their 6 and 7 Do you no how many riders were asked guest. Who picked the guest
If the scenario you described had happened on Sunday only Sedgmen & Bailey could have taken Jensen's rides under irr and you will still have Etheridge there!
Under r/r only, you could rejig to have r/r @ no2, with Nicol/Wells/Jensen occupying 3 - 5, this would mean Cook appearing in ht 8 and barring a disaster a guaranteed 3 pts.
BTW if Jensen had also been crocked, the reserves could still cover under irr.
Re who picked the guest, do you know and would your team manager not have been consulted in such a decision?

Have a slight recollection that a few years ago in the Glasgow programme, they thanked Ronnie Anderson for providing the use of track covers he had purchased from the BSPA, at short notice
