Heathersfield Golden Helmet 17/10

For anyone looking for further information on this meeting the best place without a doubt is the Glasgow unofficial site http://www.glasgowspeedway.com/index.html -
The Scottish Open-19th March 2010

Last year Glasgow charged an extra £1 for the classic which I feel was fair enough based on the line up. However I feel that Edinburgh are letting the fans down by including all seven home riders. OK, I understand that it gives the newer boys a run out, but to charge fans an extra £3 is a bit much. Just wish Somerset was a lot closer, that I would pay £18 to see (never mind the £13 they are charging). -

Dale Lamb is out with a broken pelvis and I think you'll find that Nick Morris is riding on a British licence. -

So this is it, the big one, the Pint Lifting Rifting Contest. Well there's no doubt if this is a competition Glasgow will lift it with Glasgow Legend Paulco and George (Paulco's mate) both having attained at least a 12 Pint average each this season. George has come back well this year after suffering a National suspension(sorry in joke) after the Birmingham meeting. Joking aside it sounds like a fun day for all -
A-plant Classic (individual)

I think that you may find that support for a certain rider is quite thin on the ground out your way, as well as Glasgow. A Tiger riders career was ended because of him but one of your posters reckons Glasgow fans anger towards him is appalling. I'll say no more on the matter as twit for tat gets nowhere. -

Should take a look at the stuff on the chatzone then, unfortunately the mods there aren't working. Some of the stuff posted has left a very bitter taste and the thing is, most of the so called "banter" is from people( including mods) that weren't even at Ashfield -

Hopefully Berwicks new promoters allow David Meldrum his meeting. -
Don't know how old this is but it's worth a look http://maps.live.com/default.aspx?v=2&...DU0ODAzNDY2Nzk4 Click on blue number 1 and when box comes up on right hand side click on zoom to street.

Tom is Scottish and is still a regular attender at both Edinburgh and Glasgow. I do believe that he still takes part in some German meetings. Best man to ask for further information is forum poster Topcat as he and tom are good friends.

British Under-18 Final At Scunthorpe

Fantastic performance by Marc Owen. Saw him at Glasgow last season and reckoned then, he was one for the future. Jack Hurst(15) appeared at yesterdays Junior event at Ashfield. Knowing that Colin Mackie, Glasgow's training instructor is eager to give youth a chance I would imagine that there is a possibilty of Jack being joined by Marc and Dale Lamb next season in the Hethersfield Gold Helmet. -
