Scunthorpe beaten by 18 last night at Berwick but I think the Northside track will suit the Scunthorpe riders better today, should be pretty close .
48-42.

The obsession with dropping riders on a whim, the higher the League the more prevalent , its only a game .

The justice system, sentenced for so many years then get out after serving half the sentence ....hmm, prison overcrowding and the backlog of trials.

Taking sex out if it she’s not very good and not even close to a 4 pointer. If they can bring someone in that’s capable of scoring there average then they’ll be there of thereabouts.
Blobby the Dinosaur, already Celina getting criticised on this forum and other social media must be jealousy.
I hope Danny King and Sam are ok after that Nast crash yesterday.
Some fine racing and a good crowd down at the Northside Arena.

Probably a few on this forum if you look on the general discussion section.

Yes that is true.

Redcar Bears will be out for revenge on Saturday afternoon in this tough home meeting for the Comets.
Hope Celina is fit for this meeting.
Footnote : I could have titled this meeting Comets/Bears...... but we do things differently in the Championship.

I was told Claus still flies into Aberdeen on a Friday for Workington's Saturday afternoon meetings and it's a Glasgow fan that picks him up

£50 cheapest seat would be a tad "more realistic" I would suggest..
There is also no longer a "novelty value" over here anymore in watching many of those expected to be there on "Final Night", which may also impact the perceived value in paying the prices sought..
Lets hope it is a great success though, and generates lots of publicity for UK Speedway, and full houses at each event reflects it in a good light..
I hope to be there just on the Saturday night if we can purchase tickets in the seating area.
If not then will watch on tv.

Similar line up for a GP and on a good track , so £85.00 is about right , but I can see if paying for a family could be prohibitive .

Here is my thoughts for what it’s worth , I was not at Redcar last night for the Worky win but it seems many Redcar fans are jumping the gun already about team changes.
I believe this is the teams first home meeting , so very early days to be making changes and it’s not even a League match that was ran last night.
I predict a top four finish for Redcar in the League and still stand by this.

Well done Worky , great result, hope Celina is ok.

Another tough meeting for the Comets when the Scunthorpe team come to town , a team that I predict could get top four in the League this year.
Lets hope for another big crowd coming down to the GT Tyres arena on Saturday afternoon and the first win for the 2024 Comets.

Poole
Scunthorpe
Redcar
Glasgow
Berwick
Oxford
Workington
Edinburgh
Plymouth
Poole look very strong but top four could be of a different order.

We can all be negative at times but in Speedway and life in general it is far healthier to concentrate and celebrate the positives.
It is all to easy to criticise and I have been guilty myself but it is important to support riders and the team as a whole , even more so when they may go through a difficult time.
Breaking news: Riders are human beings .

Well what can I say after that showing I,m not going back to watch the Comets again.........
Stopped reading the posts half way through....what do people really want.
Here is what I witnessed , great racing , a big crowd and good weather. Some fine prospects who are already showing that in the future are going to be stars in the sport.
Celina and Sam along with Antii and Tate are new to the championship will take time to adjust to the tracks, Cookie , Claus and Batch all showed fighting spirit.
Berwick have a decent side and may get some silverware this year but I,m more than happy with the Workington side, optimist maybe , realist definitely.
Most of well done to the management and all who help putting on the Workington show.

Not sure of our average crowd last year , maybe 500 /600.
The track is on the site of the old Northside training track and is around a 30 minute walk from the town centre .
