4 minutes ago, j2ohh said:hi , what age do you have to be to be classed as concession entry . plus ID requirements . thanks
the entry fee is in line with most one off events .it going to be a great day for speedway and injured riders who need help/support while injured
its only a few quid extra, just miss out on the extra beer between now and the meeting .nothing lost .
Not sure of details , just got information from Facebook .

A lot down to costs , cost money to run a meeting like this.
I can accept not everyone can afford to attend meetings at this price in tough economic times .

Will Worky sign a rider on maybe a 4.5-5.0 average on a possible short term deal and then maybe make team changes if necessary .
-
- The Championship points limit will increase by 0.5 each month from May 1, taking the limit up to 40 – ie. May 1, 38.50; June 1, 39.00; July 1, 39.50; August 1, 40.00.

Are the promoters going to "adjust" the Championship points limit to allow Workington to sign Freddie for their final team spot?I'll get my coat.
No Dan Bewley on a 6.25 average after reduction .

Freddie Lindgren added to the line up.

John Walsh interview with Dan Bewley , Cumbria Crack.

I think at this stage if Claus Vissing was available and within the budget he would have been signed , so cannot see why we would break the bank to sign him now.

Yes.

Slightly off topic , I started watching at Workington in the late 70,s but struggle to remember too much , apart from the smell, the speed, walking round to the wee pie hut for pie and oxo.
The sparse crowds of three to four hundred, the battering at home , happy days
Worky riders , the great Brian Havelock, Rob Maxfield, Andy Margarson, Mark Dickinson etc.

Lets hope the 600 figure can be achieved, we did have some good attendances at the start of the season and against Belle Vue I recall was a very good crowd but there were some meetings when attendances were not so good.
Hopefully with the Comets competing in the Championship there will be lots of travelling fans coming along , I know even last season there were many who came from Glasgow, Edinburgh, Redcar etc.

No, intentional.

I can categorically say without fear of contraception that I have no idea who the final rider is.

Just get from supermarket now. Not the publishers' fault; more to do with the demise of the postal service. Nothing in the UK seems reliable anymore.
Agree , the postal service and many other services are just not working ie the Railways and Rail operators , when the Rail system works its a good service but all too often there are delays and cancellations and staff shortages.
Star still not arrived.

Agree that Rew is likely to be too busy to race in the Champ.
Surely only 4 or 5 for Blodorn or Rew

Still waiting for last weeks edition, not the publishers fault but not helping the customers by poor postal service.

Let’s look forward not back , that was then this is now, my only misgiving is that the current line up do not have experience on away tracks but if they can make good scores at home after getting some initial home rides then we’ll be fine .

I think it’s £20.00 for League meetings.
