  1. "Mr Laguta had suffered from food poisoning and was unable to travel to the UK and advised to rest for a period of at least 2 days" The ban doesn't extend as far as Poland... we're only shooting ourselves in the foot on this occasion. Anyway looks like he went against doctors advice and decided to go for a run
  2. Best not to talk to them... you'd be slitting your wrists by the end of the conversation!

    Woofy returns in 2024

What puzzled me the most when they were discussing it on Eurosport was Nicholls & Tatum suggesting that the favourites to land him would be Wolves! As if it was a given that they'd be riding next year

    Woofy returns in 2024

To be fair... look at the clowns he has to deal with over here
  5. Did Ashton Boughen receive a 7 day ban from when he missed the Worky v Leicester match when "his dad was taken ill"?
  6. How about when signing the rider not stipulating/agreeing to that rider missing some away matches at "small" tracks?
  7. Because watching 4 riders race around an oval dirt track on 500cc machines with no brakes still gets me fizzing
  8. Must have been those Fish & Chips he was raving about, good job mystic Buster had Bomber on stand-by in case Artem followed through ... Wait until Tarasenko's Full English filters through his system, it could be season ending carnage

    Methanol is a green fuel!

Just don't mention the riders flying here, there and everywhere
  10. I think you've got a pretty competitive team as it is now... don't forget you were up against the current Champs and table toppers with a number of riders who go really well around the EoES. I thought Andersen looked a lot more on the pace last night, Cook had that silly tapes infringement... I do feel that NKI is exposed at number 1 though

    Premiership pairs 2023

If this is being held and promoted as a Championship worth winning why wouldn't you want to put out your strongest possible side to attempt to win it? Or is it just a fixture filler? It's already been devalued and gone from 6 meetings, to 5, to 3... to 1 on a Thursday night... with crowd pulling riders not competing for their clubs. If you weren't there BSNing would you have been making the trip?

    Wolves vs Kings Lynn

Oh as a team match it was total garbage... but as pure speedway, didn't look to be too bad

    Wolves vs Kings Lynn

did look to be some decent racing though, from what I saw on Eurosport, if you watched it as pure Speedway and took away any context of "teams" competing against each other it didn't look so bad

    Wolves vs Kings Lynn

Lagutagate is a perfect example of this, if and I stress the word IF (the source(s) reporting this are generally right with stuff), the news that he's been signed by a "promoter" and isn't riding the "small" tracks smacks of complete self interest. Yes, great for your home crowd but you have to have a team to ride against and if you're effecting other clubs crowds by agreeing to such a deal you're doing the sport no good as a whole... these clubs should effectively be working as a co-op. Is it any surprise that the 2 clubs in a mess this season are (were) run by an estate agent and a used car salesman... tells you all you need to know.
  15. Heat 12! Now shut up and go watch something else
  16. At last! It's only taken 23 years but at last some technical insight from the comms team. I didn't think I'd ever find myself typing the words... Well done Eurosport!
  17. That's purely the reason i have not gone. If it had been on BSN I would as you can't beat live Speedway, but the pace of a Eurosport meeting is just not fun

    Kings Lynn 2023

He should be on the case then!

    Kings Lynn 2023

He's just there to make sure the rules are adhered to, if the rules are poorly written or don't exist what can he do? Is there a rule that says if you sign a rider he has to ride in all home and away meetings?

    Kings Lynn 2023

So if that's true, that's the deal Alex Brady agreed to? A complete disregard for Wolves, Ipswich & Leicester fans. This is why the sport needs an independent body, no truly independent body would have sanctioned that deal. If they don't want to compete in league Speedway, perhaps they should join the IoW and do what they do and not waste the rest of our time

    Kings Lynn 2023

So it's the riders now who decide which meetings are "important"?
  22. iainb

    Wolves vs Kings Lynn

The options are: 1. say he's withholding his services = 28 day ban 2. say he's "unavailable" = junior replacement 3. say he's dropped = team re-declaration 4. say he's injured = guest and revert to "normal" for the next match 5. pay him his fee and ride him at Wolves The option that is best for Buster is clearly option 4, the option that is best for the sport and the fans is option 5. But without option 4 there is not likely to be a King's Lynn speedway next season

    Wolves vs Kings Lynn

They probably don't notice or aren't interested, although the BSPL probably think they are... like I said when the TV deal was signed, I think they probably deserve each other
  24. iainb

    Wolves vs Kings Lynn

I know it, you know it, all Speedway fans know it... there are still some TV, the "media" and sponsors who still need to portray a sport with integrity for their own business and marketing purposes, so we have to go through this charade
