  1. Are they the company that supplied the spare part for the pit gate at Lynn?

    Rain

It has rained a lot in Leicester on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and today

    Rain

I don't know that they've redone it all, they've certainly improved it but I assume it can only take so much... probably don't have the luxury of pumping it all out into the rivers like our water company's do!

    Rain

Track was waterlogged after days of pissistent rain, no cock up

    Leicester v Lynn 11/05/23

Track is/was waterlogged, nothing to do with the forecast

It never used to rain this much on Saturdays!

    Leicester v Lynn 11/05/23

I don't want to be a doom and gloom merchant but if the weather is anything like it has been for the last few days in Leicester and it is forecast to be, then this week be off. We've had a lot of rain with heavy showers at 3pm with rain continuing until around 6pm for the last few days... hope I'm wrong!

    Wembley

I can't see it... Wembley is not what it used to be and i doubt it has the same allure as it once had, gone are the days of it being a special place that was revered around the world, every country has their own "Wembley" these days. We'll never know but I suspect they'd get 50,000 tops. Now 50,000 in the London Stadium would be quite impressive, in a better area and easier to get to... though I can't see that either
  10. Nope... but i bloody well enjoyed my speedway for what it was. I wasn't apathetic at all, I for one was looking forward to enjoying tomorrow's Bank Holiday speedway
  11. I thought he saved your club and won you the league the year before last... and signed you Nicki Pedersen for this year. As a Coventry fan I know exactly what it's like to have your club run into the ground and ultimately close.

    Wolves 2023

I would have said what a load of bollox! There's British riders sat on the sidelines without clubs to ride for... and that is a scandal! You only have to browse through some of the names competing in the Polish U24 league and it makes for very interesting viewing, the young Aussies seem to be giving Britain a swerve these days and a lot of the European talent are electing to ride in it instead of our lower leagues, or the upper one for that matter

    Wembley

... and what leads you to believe that?
  14. I'm gutted when any Speedway meeting is cancelled tbh. You guys at Peterborough really need to buck up a bit... there's over 400 pages on the Peterborough thread mainly about not having a number 1 and slagging your riders off. Many Panthers fans seem to be sleep walking into extinction

Redcar v Birmingham BSN 6th May

Did Newcastle have Speedway track covers?

Redcar v Birmingham BSN 6th May

From the dogs? Has Newcastle closed completely then? I thought it was just the Speedway

Redcar v Birmingham BSN 6th May

According to posts on twitter, track covers were used to get this meeting on. Didn't know Redcar had track covers, how long has this been going on?
  18. Exactly how I started going to Speedway, the freebie 2nd half and it wasn't 1 second half and I was in, like you said it was 4 or 5 and then the odd paid full match and then got hooked from there

    Wembley

    Qualifying for what?

Redcar v Birmingham BSN 6th May

Nick Morris having a really shaky start to the season so far!

    Tactical blunder then

Redcar v Birmingham BSN 6th May

I thought heat 7 was protected? Or is/ was that just the PL?

    Wembley

I could be wrong as there are never any official numbers published but going on sight I would say the last Cardiff GP but one visually looked to be its largest crowd ever, after a pandemic and the start of a "cost of living crisis" it was followed by easily the worst crowd attendance, which came as a bit of a shock after the 2019 event. DSE will have to pull out a few stops to encourage people back this year.
