Only if they agree to ride… No-one can force riders to take guest bookings, and I don’t want to watch a meeting at home with riders we could only get as a last resort (no disrespect to S Lambert etc - but I want to watch Patryk/a full strength Lynn side and not guests).

So if he gets injured or binned or any other reason except the one being used, that's you done?

Substitute ‘sport’ for ‘club’. For all the criticism Buster has had on this forum to date, I’ve always given him the benefit of the doubt, but this has raised the piss take level. Injuries/absences are part of sport and a massive part of speedway in particular. This is basically an admission that he daren’t field any team to further weaken his declared crap 1 to 7. Would love to see Buster’s reaction if a depleted team were due to visit Lynn and the BSPA were advised at the last minute that the visitors wanted to cry off because their number one had a runny nose.

It would seem that assembling a competitive team is not essential if you have a large vault of piss poor excuses.

Good job Ippo didn't postpone when Doyley missed his flight, or Tungate for Oxford!

I think the whole basis of the call off and Lynn's grievance is that the Polish meetings have been arranged at short notice and the Leicester meeting rearranged to an evening where Wojdylo was (and should be) available. All this talk of if he'd been injured and only two riders being missing (the press release states that the Museilak injury is irrelevant to their stance) doesn't really matter.

Not saying I agree with it as I'm trying to get my head round it still but having seen his performance last week and how important he is to the team at the moment you can see why Lynn don't want to run without him when he's not injured.

Was it "impossible" to stage the meeting? Or just undesirable

He seems to be struggling a lot by his standards. But it might be like Klindt said on the podcast, some riders struggle at beginning and end of the season as the changeable weather affects their bike too much.

20 years in the game and still can't fathom how to set a bike up for cold weather! Unbelievable! If he'd said it effects him and not his engines that would have been more believable

had a chat with him last year, seems quite content with his life style, probably having no huge gas electric water and council tax bills,  i thinks its the future.:drink:

I thought he might have been a local character like "'Rum Weather' was in Leicester... I was touring the States a few years ago and got approached by a local tramp for money, it was at Santa Monica beach! I thought there's worse places to be a tramp, made me wonder why there weren't more there when I see some of them sat outside my local Aldi

According to some comments you can't  have a big win and good racing

Very strange meeting Bewley winning by huge margins, shutting off coming out of turn 4 to coast over the line for a win then couldn't make an impression on Tom Brennan

  7. I've had an idea for a TV programme... Race Across Manchester, it's a 22 part series where the contestants have to make the 5 mile journey from Stockport to the National Speedway Stadium only using public transport :D

Along the way contestants will face desolate industrial wastelands, ridiculous weather conditions, the local natives and severe language difficulties... starts July 2024!

The parade to celebrate ITFC's promotion is planned for Monday afternoon which is likely to impact the attendance for this meeting somewhat

What are they having a parade for? They've won nothing! :P

We've had ours today so as not to clash with the Oxford meeting tomorrow :D

  9. The late Lee Richardson stands out for me, from memory he found points very difficult to come by when he first started out, then seemed to overcome that and establish himself only to be hindered by health issues. As we all know then went on to become world class, especially riding for GB in the world cup

A good win for Plymouth - showing we might actually have a more even league across the board this season!

On paper i thought they looked quite a weak side to me and have surprised me tonight, if you can get your number 1 back fit you should be looking good, especially at home
