  1. Terrible coverage from WBD again tonight, not even going to go into it not being shown on either of the Eurosport channels in favour of WEC and the World Climbing Championships, the after show was also terrible, no real analysis or interviews just a fireworks display on TV! An effing fireworks display on TV!

You don't know what you've had until it's gone and what the sport would give to have IMG/BSI back running the show!

  2. As honest as Woffy's interview was he didn't really address the elephant in the room, he clearly backed out of a few moves tonight like he had done for the last few years, the difference tonight was that he had the speed that if he'd made those moves he would have easily qualified for the semis. The thing is the level has moved up another notch since Woffy last won his titles, riders are riding more extreme, Doyle, Holder, Zmarzlik, Lindgren... they'll just make the move and leave the opposition to deal with it and to be fair, Woffy has never been that kind of rider. At least he's not shooting his mouth off so much these days so he's a little more palatable. And I'm afraid that Bewley is pretty much in that same mold, and who can blame them after the injuries they've had. Lambert has the best chance of joining that top table for me, he's a hard rider but isn't making those extreme moves... yet.

Great night for Doyley, best he's been since 2016/17. And a pretty decent GP all in all.

I have the APP. I think it's wonderful so I'll enjoy all of it. Thank you for having a pop at a name I decided on some 20 odd years ago and really pushing that one to try and shame me. Troll...Bully. ;-) So I haven't changed it......sorry.

I'll hold you to calling people out for their opinion.

    Cheers.

(no need for you to reply to this one....unless you can't stand not having the last word)

I'll be sure to check in with you to see what I can and can't reply to :t:

    Oh dear.

Like I said, chill out Iain. Try not to moan and enjoy the season ahead.

I'm perfectly chilled thanks @Mr Bee, I will enjoy the season ahead as I have enjoyed my seasons past, as you would know if you've read all of my posts, and I will continue to give my opinion, positive or negative, whether you agree with it or not. What I will not be doing is calling out people for their opinion.

Enjoy the GP tonight... especially the first 30 minutes

Don't try and ridicule me Iain Brown. What you're accusing me of makes you look exactly the same. I've been a member of this forum for a long time, I know how to use it. I don't hide behind the name, that was what I decided back in 2005, not to hide. I've read your posts for a long time, I just don't see much positive from you. It makes me wonder why you attend meetings or watch the SGP. It must be a waste of your time if you don't enjoy what is on offer. It's not bullying or trolling, that would suggest I've been going at you for a prolonged time. It's an observation. You moaned on both X and here and I happened to see them after each other. Chill out, try and enjoy the sport.

Haha you just couldn't resist going off topic to talk about me again!

Ridicule you? How could I ridicule a grown adult that calls himself Mr Bee, it would be almost impossible.

I feel truly honoured that you've broken your 19 year silence to come on here and personally have a pop at me. Perhaps you should start your own topic up about me and then you can discuss me to your hearts content with everybody else in your echo chamber that agrees with everything you say, well, NEWS-FLASH: Nobody is interested in me, or your opinion of me.

You know what, these spats break out from time to time and they're terribly tedious unless you're involved in them, in which case they can be quite fun.

See you in the SGP-Verse, it's coming soon apparently

I'm just tired of you moaning about everything. Trolling. Says the person that Trolls all the social media Speedway threads. Let's put Richards name In full as well.....

So tired that you're prolonging your bullying and trolling. You think I moan about "everything" and I troll "all" the social media, you're sounding crazy!

I don't hide behind silly made up names (though perhaps I should with people like you on the loose) and I don't go into topics to initiate personal attacks on people.

If you want to discuss the topic, discuss the topic, if you want to bully and troll me, put me on ignore, somebody on here will tell you how to do it.

Get out of your bedroom, open the curtains, and enjoy the sunshine while it lasts, before you start another moan after the SGP tonight.

And I don't want to hear you moaning about being blocked on X by anyone again as you've done the same to me. Hypocrite.

Okay, you're coming across as a bit of a weirdo now Richard Cleaver, trolling me on here and trolling me on TwitterX. You seem to know far too much about me or think you do... please make better use of your second chance at life, oh and put me on ignore.

  8. 11 minutes ago, Mr Bee said:

Whatever. You've too much time on your hands spending it all day on here and X. I enjoy their coverage, I enjoy what they are doing and I couldn't give a damn if they release something on IOS before Android.

The fact is, you spend your life looking for the negatives. Maybe, like me, you get a second shot at life, you'll appreciate things more.

Hypocrite! I'm discussing the SGP... you just come back with a personal attack.

You need to try and communicate with people better with your second shot at life.

Do you do anything other than moan and put the sport down? It's coming to Android soon. I'm an Android user. Just wait. You'll be having a melt down tonight if you don't use the Discovery APP as well. 6:30 start time for Eurosport Viewers.

Yes, you're right, it's a brilliant idea to release it first on the platform with the least amount of users... gold medal to whoever thought that was the correct decision.

Yes brilliant idea to miss the first 30 minutes of coverage tonight, another gold medal!

You think that's all great stuff and should be sung from the rooftops?

You need to open your eyes to what WBD have done to the GP series... there's a new stage on the centre green whoop de doo!

I have the Discovery+ app so there will be no meltdown from me.

  10. Okay... I can be bothered:

I thought it was a complete shambles, I'll try an keep it brief

    Wasn't shown on TV

"limited crowd" WTF! It's a World Championship event, what other "Sport" would limit it's capacity to 999 in a 58,000 capacity stadium. And they couldn't even reach their own self imposed capacity! I thought we were back in lock down!

The timing captions were all over the place, at one point somebody was showing 9 hours, then on another occasion I was watching Vaculik's time and it was running at about 50 seconds and then all of a sudden when he crossed the line he went top!

No idea when a session was coming to an end with the only indication of the camera cutting to a bloke holding a red flag!

What actually happened during that final quali session, there's clearly no communication between commentary and the pit "reporter"?

Why did Huckenbeck not come out for his 2nd session?

What the camera's did show was all over the place, there was no context as to why we were watching a particular rider on screen when we were

I can't believe how low WBD have taken the sport, at SGP level, in the few years that they've been in control. (I can really)

It was a great race at the end, which did salvage it slightly... but so what, we've seen great races before and we'll see 'em again

Haha.  I was back on the M1 way before that, but it was 50 mph for most of he time I was on it, then the A38 and A5 were partially shut so a bit of a pain!

The M1 is a total joke at the moment... 2 hours from Leicester! for 60 miles! They may as well just close it and do what ever it is they need to do!

Well Lidsey was missing replaced by Kurtz! I think to be fair whoever was paired with Bewley for BV was going to run a last - Thinking back had Tai not lifted in heat 13 having got into the 5-1 position a super heat might not have been needed anyway!

Super heat of C Holder, Pickering, Kurtz & Cook would have been interesting... or maybe just give the away team the choice of gates?

  13. 1 minute ago, GeneralMelchett said:

Well the fairest would be a replay but modern sport doesnt seem to like them - as I have said before the superheat is great if you win it and awful / gutting if you lose - just like penalties in football!

I do recall witnessing a 45-45 draw in the play off semi final in 2005(?) and there was ride off between Michael Max and Hans Andersen to decide that one!

Personally I'd like to see super heats not contain the same riders as in heat 15... this will reward the better "team" and not just the best 2 riders on the night

Tonight’s race times at Sheffield were on par with Peter Carr’s Sheffield track record in 1985 (62 seconds )  in heat 2 the winning time was the same as Chris Morton’s Sheffield track record in 1977 ( 64 seconds ) progress eh

Talking of "The B52" it seems that Dan Bewley doesn't know about the big dive bomb line going into turn 3... in one of the races it was the obvious move from where I was stood and he (I won't say bottled it... oops I just did) elected not to take it going for the blast around the outside, like he seems to try everywhere, instead.

Yes i didn’t  watch it but checked the rulebook earlier and noticed that it’s now  4 riders out together instead of 3. Did you notice when the reserves came out ?

It was 3 last season wasn't it, now 4 this year and they come out twice instead of 3 times, reserves came out as a pair twice separately

  16. 1 minute ago, HenryW said:

Didn't they do 4 groups of 4 for the qualifying in Croatia as well, with the reserves just going out together?

I half watched that qualifying and think that was what they did, but could be wrong :D

They did... there seems to be a distinct lack of info for this
