What's the problem? I would much rather start the season with an understrength side, be bottom of the EL after a few months, bring in some 'big hitters', sneak into the play-offs and pip the season-long favourites to the title.!!! Roll on 2011.

Definately strengthens the field. Holder is pants round Brandon. Think he only scored about 9 & 7 from 5 rides in the two meetings last year. And that was against a very poor Coventry team last year - as pointed out by you on many occasions!!!

Where does the money come from to pay the riders for these meetings. Do the riders clubs finance part of the appearance/prize money or does it all come from sponsorship/gate receipts. Just wondering, as there has been some contentious issues recently, regarding riders pulling out etc.

Perhaps he should represent Peterborough, since he has ridden for them for more than half of the season. Sounds like their supporters would welcome that.

I was giving some thought as to where to go to this Easter weekend, to avoid the usual traffic chaos. Then I realised, 83 per cent of the population (probably more by Good Friday) are queuing for Johnno's testimonial, as we speak. Therefore, I reckon this could be the best ever bank holiday weekend for travelling anywhere in the UK. Just thinking about it, might be best to avoid Dorset on Good Friday too, as the other 17 per cent will no doubt be at Wimbourne Road!!
