  1. Can't believe this is still being discussed, its been done and dusted.Let's hope for some team news soon and whether the south stand is going to be completed.

This has been mentioned time and time again Phil, but still some posters insist on trying to put the full blame on the 2 people who bank rolled Belle Vue year on year to bring us the NSS.

I can't understand why this is still being debated on here. This is BV 2017 so can't we move on?!

  2. It is that bad. Seen four meetings and three passes.

Completely missing my point that if it keeps the Bees going this year till we can hopefully get back to Brandon then I will put up with a track that is no where near as good as Wimborne Road!! :P

Or are you now going off the idea of Coventry supporters getting behind our team now that it looks like we will be racing in 2017?

  3. You clearly haven't been for a long long time if you think Poole has a blue groove.

Enjoy the racing at Leicester. Worst track in world speedway. Hopefully the Coventry fans won't have to suffer follow the leader for too long.

I don't believe it is a bad as you make out Steve, but if that is the case then I will happily endure this in the short term to make sure we still have a future (for the time being) at Brandon.

  4. Isn't it great to see supporters posting in here, offering lifts/support to other like-minded fans, just great, and hopefully this all works out and the Bees are soon reinstated at Brandon, in the meantime, welcome to Beaumont Park!!

Thanks for the welcome SS, it will actually be my first visit to Beaumont Park!

  5. I live in Warwick so the travel time will be 50-60 mins for me but I intend to be supporting the Bees for every meeting I can. With the few dealings I have had with Mick, Neil and Trev over the years they have been great to me and my family and in my opinion need all the support we can give them.

If anyone would like a lift from Warwick/Leamington/Kenilworth area please send me a PM and I would be very happy to oblige.

Lets get behind them and then hopefully we will be back in our rightful place at Brandon before too long!!

  6.

Do you really think he's ever had any intention of doing that? I'll do a lap of the Brandon track in my mobility scooter just wearing my knickers if we come to the tapes in March.

I hope you are going to stick to this Gem as there will be uproar if you don't do it and we have to use a guest or RR!! ;)

  7. Belle Vue Aces

The most famous name in speedway

Continuous seasons from 1928 , even during the war years

The list of riders who's wore the Ace clubs reads like a who's who of the sports greats

Can't think any REAL fans would say otherwise ?

    Well ... Maybe one !

...........ah, but only if you are north of Salisbury and don't sell the Speedway Star!!! ;)

  8. A statement from James Crocker, lawyer for Brandon Estates, has confirmed that deal is now dead.

He said: I can expressly confirm that Mr Mick Horton did not take up the lease of Brandon Stadium on January 3, 2017.It would obviously be improper for me or my clients to comment on Mr Hortons decision. I can however say the decision not to take up the Lease was Mr Hortons and not Brandon Estates Ltd and Brandon Estates Ltd had offered a substantial and extremely generous sponsorship package to Mr Horton/Coventry Speedway Ltd.

The statement added 'I do not believe that a new lease will be entered into prior to the start of the forthcoming Speedway season'

I truely hope Mick Horton has an explanation for Coventry fans as to why he did not offer to loan the speedway promotion out to someone who would have been happy to take up the lease on what sound favourable terms?

Unless that is forthcoming I fear he will always be known as the man who shut down Coventry Speedway and not Mr Sandhu.

But maybe he would have taken up the lease if the fixtures had not been removed by Sandhu.

  9. His latest statement gives no assurance things are going ahead only that riders contracts have not been cancelled. That was never the claim anyway.

You haven't answered the question though, as to what would be the point of Mick Horton stringing everyone along. Can't see what he would/is he gaining from it.

  10. Over 10,000 people have got in touch with Rugby Council about the issues at Brandon.

..........more than Councillor Stokes had ever experienced over any other issue. For the benefit of those forum members who think the supporters are taking this lying down!
