I agree with in as much as I don't expect anything to be said and as Blupanther says, they have probably been advised not to. I just don't think that press release indicates that the promotion has any intent to run in 2017.

Which would surely make the shale they dug up worthless. BV eventually laid a track in a couple of weeks. Other clubs have put down tracks in weeks. Coventry are hardly the first club to relay a track in the winter.
Seriously, if this was a real issue do you actually think that Coventry would have declared intent to run in the NL 24 hours ago?
Yes but that is just a BSPA/SGB press release isn't it Shawn?

But I don't understand why the police would get involved as Sandu has agreed to return all items at his own cost!! Regardless of an inspection it was going to be put right!
Maybe Sandhu has gone back on his word...

Save that quote for the end of the season.
Yeah but then you will just get the excuses we were weakened by injury blah, blah, blah!

When Brandon Stadium was being taken apart, there were witnesses, videos and photos of what was going on all over t'internet. Has anyone borne witness to the damage caused being repaired yet? Will photos of the newly renovated stadium feature on all varieties of social media again?
No, because that is a positive thing and social media don't do positive..............usually!!

157 posts in and you are very knowledgeable on the inner goings on at Coventry!Well done to Avtar Sandhu & Michael Stokes. These 2 men met last night to agree a deal that would see racing at Brandon continue for the next three-years whilst Mick Horton was in the USA not giving a monkey's.
Avtar said he wanted to sign the agreement weeks ago. Sandhu also said that the deal needed to be suited to all parties. Obviously Mick threw a strop about the stock cars.
All of Mick's fault as per usual.
All of you should be thanking Avtar as well as Michael seeing as Avtar is paying for everything to be replaced.
If Mick Horton had to pay for it out of his own pocket then you wouldn't of seen any racing at Coventry next season and beyond. Mick gave up on the club and the fans. Sandhu didn't. If only Mick signed the deal weeks ago then nothing would have happened to the stadium.

Gater1 has been banned, no sign of Morriseyfan and suddenly the forum is awash with brand new posters appearing on numerous threads.....Mmmm now where have I seen that before?

I have emailed him to thank him for his mediation work. Suggest Coventry and speedway fans alike do the same.
Ditto.

Great news and lets just hope the 2 can continue to work together to ensure the tapes go up in March. Perhaps some of us should also stop moaning about the team!

That's a different company, the one we are involved with is Jersey based and won't show up on companies house.
I'm convinced Sandhu is involved in Brandon Estates.
Thanks for the information.

Who is this Brandon Estates? The only companies I can find on Companies House are dissolved. Is this the same company that are supposedly sponsoring the Bees next year?

Looking great thus far, but now it's make or break. Don't think anyone really wants Kerr or Sarg. Let's hope Horton doesn't!
Well, looking like a crap side again. So disappointing!
Make up your mind!!

I have seen pics posted on here but there seems no way i can do it. If anyone wants me to to email them the pics so they can be put online let me know.
Steve you need to use a photo hosting site such as photobucket as far as I know . Anyway I have uploaded a photo of the stadium for you:

We have 1 gater in the team so far and we know King normally wins if he's off gate 4!
Phew! I thought you said we had Gater 1 in the team for minute!!

But this would have been voted on ,so not the only promoter against it.
........as Skidder constantly reminds us!
-
Looks a decent enough side and one to challenge for a playoff berth. The top of the team is a bit long in the tooth but they should be hard to beat at home and give us Poole fans a tough meeting at Wimborne Road with their track specialists.
Just proves that if a new promotion is on the ball they can sign a decent lineup. Hope they get the crowds through the door.
With financial backing. Not so easy without support from decent sponsors.

Passed a Polish shop yesterday and the cakes looked wonderful. The only problem was that you could only buy one if you limited your cake purchases from only two other countries.
.........and quite often the Polish baker insists on the ingredients are not used to bake other nations cakes!!
-
It does look a bit Dads Army.
Don't panic!!!

Do you think that when we are out of the EU more ingredients will be sourced for the UK as opposed to foreign ingredients?

At the NSS fans had the option of £20 for the grandstand, even more in the premium seats, or £17 in the south stand. There were always significantly more people in the grandstand unless it was sold out. That seems contrary to the suggestion that the sport is way over priced. Surely, if it were, then more people would pay the lower price? Admittedly, with the age profile, a number may need to be seated but that wouldn't account for the huge difference in numbers at most meetings.
Don't change the subject Aces - we are talking about cakes here!!
-
Try this one instead.
Sorry the link is in Polish but I have Google translate on the whole website as this is by far the best site for up to date Speedway news. Even Chris Harris's move to Rye House was on their before midnight last night.
Thanks.

Thought the price of the cakes was not being reduced, just the manufacturing costs. Therefore the market is unlikely to see the latest version of cakes attractive for people to try.
Price of the cakes is the same but the quality of the ingredients is being reduced. It is possible to spend less on the ingredients and get a great product but it will always depend on marketing. The cakes sell-by date is the biggest concern if you use cheaper ingredients. Younger people seem to have gone off cakes so we are relying on the older generations appetite! How do we get young people to try the cakes?
