  1. Which would surely make the shale they dug up worthless. BV eventually laid a track in a couple of weeks. Other clubs have put down tracks in weeks. Coventry are hardly the first club to relay a track in the winter.

Seriously, if this was a real issue do you actually think that Coventry would have declared intent to run in the NL 24 hours ago?

Yes but that is just a BSPA/SGB press release isn't it Shawn?

  2. When Brandon Stadium was being taken apart, there were witnesses, videos and photos of what was going on all over t'internet. Has anyone borne witness to the damage caused being repaired yet? Will photos of the newly renovated stadium feature on all varieties of social media again?

No, because that is a positive thing and social media don't do positive..............usually!! ;)

  3. Well done to Avtar Sandhu & Michael Stokes. These 2 men met last night to agree a deal that would see racing at Brandon continue for the next three-years whilst Mick Horton was in the USA not giving a monkey's.

Avtar said he wanted to sign the agreement weeks ago. Sandhu also said that the deal needed to be suited to all parties. Obviously Mick threw a strop about the stock cars.

All of Mick's fault as per usual.

All of you should be thanking Avtar as well as Michael seeing as Avtar is paying for everything to be replaced.

If Mick Horton had to pay for it out of his own pocket then you wouldn't of seen any racing at Coventry next season and beyond. Mick gave up on the club and the fans. Sandhu didn't. If only Mick signed the deal weeks ago then nothing would have happened to the stadium.

157 posts in and you are very knowledgeable on the inner goings on at Coventry!

That's a different company, the one we are involved with is Jersey based and won't show up on companies house.

I'm convinced Sandhu is involved in Brandon Estates.

    Thanks for the information.

  5. I have seen pics posted on here but there seems no way i can do it. If anyone wants me to to email them the pics so they can be put online let me know.

Steve you need to use a photo hosting site such as photobucket as far as I know . Anyway I have uploaded a photo of the stadium for you:

  6. Looks a decent enough side and one to challenge for a playoff berth. The top of the team is a bit long in the tooth but they should be hard to beat at home and give us Poole fans a tough meeting at Wimborne Road with their track specialists.

Just proves that if a new promotion is on the ball they can sign a decent lineup. Hope they get the crowds through the door.

With financial backing. Not so easy without support from decent sponsors.

  7. At the NSS fans had the option of £20 for the grandstand, even more in the premium seats, or £17 in the south stand. There were always significantly more people in the grandstand unless it was sold out. That seems contrary to the suggestion that the sport is way over priced. Surely, if it were, then more people would pay the lower price? Admittedly, with the age profile, a number may need to be seated but that wouldn't account for the huge difference in numbers at most meetings.

Don't change the subject Aces - we are talking about cakes here!! ;)

  8. Thought the price of the cakes was not being reduced, just the manufacturing costs. Therefore the market is unlikely to see the latest version of cakes attractive for people to try.

Price of the cakes is the same but the quality of the ingredients is being reduced. It is possible to spend less on the ingredients and get a great product but it will always depend on marketing. The cakes sell-by date is the biggest concern if you use cheaper ingredients. Younger people seem to have gone off cakes so we are relying on the older generations appetite! How do we get young people to try the cakes?
