  1. Nice brilliant hot sunshine now, typical thursday weather here in Cleveland/Teesside.
  2. Very heavy downpour happening now, Thunder/Lightning, not looking good.
  3. Weather update: Constant light rain from very early this morning, should be ok unless heavy rain from now or during the meeting. Brian Havelock has stated in the local press that his only aim is to see speedway continue for years to come. He has put this years team together on a strict budget and it is showing. Skidmore, Bukhave and Payne are nowhere near up to standard so far. Skidmore seems to be lacking in power and confidence, Bukhave and Payne are National League level at best. I know of some supporters who have given up already, refusing to give £16 @ week for what is provided. If Mr Havelock really wants to see speedway survive then he is going to have to seriously change this team as soon as possible or more fans will drift away. I remember Barrow being kicked out of the league because they were so under strength some years back, the same fate may await Redcar before long. Massive transfer fees received from Summers and Kus transfers recently, so where has all that money gone ????????
  4. Redcar fans were lucky the rain came. That was going to be an embarressment on a huge scale. A victory for the Bears last week against a depleted and injury hit Berwick team certainly papered over the cracks. Bjerre apart, Redcar were shocking in every department. I paid my money and watched Bukhave and Payne freewheel around corners because they had absolutely no idea what racing line to take. I watched Skidmore on a bike that looks as though it lacks so much power. On this early showing Redcar's season will be over by end of August. On a contrary note, Newcastle looked strong, yes they had 3 guests but it probably wont be the last time this season that happens so their fans better get used to being known as the Premier League Select. Think Mr Havelock and the brothers have some serious thinking to do regarding the team they have put out for 2016.
  5. Cheer up, you could have the Redcar Promotion
  6. Redcar riders current form guide: 1. Micky Dyer: Gone from reserve to No1 this season, always gives 100% 2. Thomas Jorgensen: Cant comment havent seen him ride this season 3. Ulrich Ostergaard: Nowhere near the rider of a couple of seasons ago, plagued by machine problems, spends as much time looking down as he does forward. 4. Hugh Skidmore: Decent enough season, nearly always has at least one heat win. 5. Aaron Summers: Can be a match winner, can be shocking, seems to depend on if he has had an Elite League meeting the day before. 6. Carl Wilkinson: What a trier, would be a 7-8pt man if he could just stay on his bike for 4 laps 7. Steve Worrall: Make shift replacement, has started to pick up points if he gates, not in the same class as his brother.
  7. Just wonder what plans Redcar have if Thomas Jorgensen gets himself injured in the first meeting, god forbid. Could only use R/R for the No1 from what I can see.
  8. So the final play-off place is now a straight fight between Redcar and Leicester. Think Redcar's only saving grace is the final home match is against a poor Glasgow team.

    Redcar V Scunthorpe - Ko Cup 13/6/13

From what I know and thats not a lot according to some people, Glyn Taylor ran into trouble because he tried to make redcar a viable propersition, lets not forget he was running the show on his own. He had invested a large amount of his own personal money into the project including I believe re-mortgaging his home. Now Glyn Taylor was by no means a business man but he loves speedway, he put his heart and sole into Redcar speedway, he was always approachable, often to honest, never openly slammed anyone that I can remember, never slated his own fans in public, never came across as the big I am and definately put on a better show than we have now. When Glyn ran into severe financial problems he took the decision to try and cut his costs. He asked all riders to take a pay cut, one rider in particular who was the biggest earner at the time steadfastly refused to take a pay cut. So lets not be so hasty in putting all the blame for Redcars problems at the time at the feet of one person.

Always sad to hear about riders being injured but it deffo makes Redcar stronger. Lets use the R/R to our advantage for once just like Newcastle have done for the past 3 months. With Matej being 2nd in our averages anyone can take his rides.
  11. Not sure if we will see Matej Kus in these two fixtures. He was involved in a very bad crash last night, early reports indicate a possible broken leg. If true then Redcar will operate R/R for him which at the moment definately makes Redcar strongerwith Ostergaard, Summers, Dyer, Skidmore or Wilkinson all able to take extra rides. Unfortunate but true that Matej's injury will make Redcar stronger just as Tully's injury made Newcastle stronger for 3 months of the season. Weather here in Teesside is very changeable, had a really heavy downpour at about 12 noon, stopped now but is forecast to return later in the day. Cant imagine what the track will be like after some of the attempts to get it right this season. Maybe a delay to the start again after the referee tells Mr Havelock its un-raceable again lol.

Redcar V Rye House (pl)... 9th May

Seriously think the "Consortium" at Redcar Speedway should be prosecuted under "The Trades Description Act".

Cant blame any of the track prep on the Swales family, seems they saw the light at the start of the season and walked away, well I would of aswell if id been asked to do it for nothing. Redcar will soon be the first track to offer spectators free goggles when you attend, will stand you in good sted for either to much water or to much dust. Tonight was an absolute joke, shockingly over watered start and home straight with bone dry bends, its no suprise Steady looked like he didnt want to be there. At the point now where Im seriously considering if I can be bothered to go again while this cirrent set of jokers are running the show.
  15. The Swales family have done what I would expect everyone else would do if you were asked to perform a job for nothing. They have said thanks but no thanks. It now seems that if you are first through the gate at the track you can drive the tractor
