    Crayford Stadium, Where Was It?

Yep, I can confirm that. The old stadium used to stand end on to the High Street and you used to turn into the car park down what is now the one way system toward Bexleyheath. If you can imagine a 'T' shape in plan view the Ladbrokes stadium now occupies the 'T' bar and the old stadium used to lie lengthways as the stalk of the 'T' and was about 4 times the size. I miss the place still and it's where I first watched speedway as a 8 year old Pip

    Lindbäck Makes Comeback

Ouch and prepare to be shot down by every Pirates fan who sees this matey...... Fair play to him though it reminds me of the striker Thomas Brolin and his retirement from the football only to return a fat goalkkeper in the Swedish third division..... will we see the first plus size Allsvenskan Individual champion??? New Cross Signature Tune

Hello again, Sorry for my delayed response but only remembered to ask the 'old chap' about this at New Year. He tells me that, definitely during the late 40s, there was no signature tune, rider's parade etc. The riders just gave a wave as they came out for their first heats. He remembers hearing "Marching Along Together" when the Rangers went to Wembley, as Wembley always had a parade, but feels almost certain that he never heard it at New Cross whilst he was there (46-53).
