    Championship Teams Comparison Time

First post in years on BSF. Championship prediction for 2017. Looking forward to the season. Glasgow Ipswich Sheffield Berwick Peterborough Edinburgh Workington Newcastle Redcar Scunthorpe
  2. Couldn't agree more CG. We were standing on back-straight and Mills firmly shut the door on Steen. That one I think was more 'legit' as it was less of an erratic move, more hard, and Steen had some time to see it and shut off. The other 2 I think were more similar incidents and imo should have been dealt with same, I.e both excluded or both left in. The rider on inside in front and picking line to drift to right and block the run but they both misjudged the speed of the lads on the outside and clout! The only difference I think was the speed. Vissing/Morris was end of lap 3, Bach/Wethers start of lap 1, therefore faster which is probably why infield was calling for Morris. Wethers more experienced I guess. Both could have ended much worse. Riders on outside could also have shut off, but I guess it may not be part of their make up!! :-) Really enjoyed the meeting though, some great racing, and Steen Jensen great value!
  3. Edinburgh do look strong and will be up there come end of season. Just to be pedantic, Monarchs didn't hammer Berwick at Shielfield!!!

    Predictions For Top 4

In alphabetical order - top 6 from following Berwick Newcastle Peterborough Redcar Scunthorpe Workington

    Berwick 2014?

Matty Wethers, Henning Bager, Liam Carr. Appreciate Bager may be Peterborough bound but he would be a strong experienced reserve to start season and we would always have strong reserve regardless of who moves up/ drops down. Would give Liam time to settle in.
  6. Best wishes for a speedy recovery Ricky.

Well done Adrian on the third place..........did think you could get to final on current form (at which point anything can happen).
  8. Thanks for that.......don't know yet, I'll let you know!!!
  9. Spot on Chris, many thanks.
  10. No probs thanks anyway.
  11. Driving down to Cardiff for the first time this year but not familiar with best car parks to use in Cardiff. Can anyone help me with the best ones to go for in terms of location to the stadium, and what sort of charge are we talking for a full day? Thanks

    Scott Nicholls

Scott should have been excluded, I think most people on the thread agree with that. Was it dirty - no I don't believe so, it was hard riding but only Scott will know for sure what decision he made when Bomber went (fairly) past him, and am sure will never reveal publically. We can only guess. At worst imo a bad error of judgement/move on Scott's part. It's just aggravated more because it was a fellow Brit that was on the receiving end. Worst of all though, what was the ref up to? No idea really but my view is this bloke makes too many mistakes to be given the responsibility for a GP. The biggest mistake he made last night was not put the red lights on and have a look at it a few times before exlcuding one of them. To let it go shows a complete lack of responsibility. I think it is the same Polish ref that Crumpy had issues with a couple of years back. If Tony Steele was removed from the list of FIM refs who can officiate at a GP, (I dont recall the background, and may be wide of the mark, but seem to recall someone in the Speedway Star recently mentioning that they couldn't understand why he had been removed), then Mr Wojciech Grodzki should also be removed. Bomber should get a wild card into the series next year and I for one look forward to it. He has been a worthy addition. At the start of the 07 series, if someone said to him here is 7th equal (even 9th) in the world I am sure he would have taken it. Just a bit disappointing he fell in his first heat whilst second. Bomber will have learned a few things this year though, hopefully one of them will be when the outside clearly isn't working and you are off gates 3 or 4 and can't gate....cut back!!!!! Its been a great GP series, roll on 08. Gothenburg here we come, all booked up and raring to go!!!!
  13. Cheers Screm....good news & much appreciated
  14. Lynx (or anyone else from the Berwick area who may pick this up) - would you be kind enough to post again the position at 3.30 (ish) as that's around when I'll need to leave to travel down?
