Who said he was after the Wild Card? Surely another British Champion title was uppermost in his thoughts. He would then have declined the Wild Card.

The regs actually went against normal FIM procedure where countback (heat Wins etc.) takes precedence, and then who-beat-who.

I'm afraid that is not Ianb's MO.
First of all it was Chris Harris daring to have ambition to be a World Champion, whilst being the Captain of Leicester.
Then it was Tyre changes.
And now Coin Toss.
You haven't heard the last of it, believe me!

No, that is the 'Draw' number. No 16 is the Wild Card's race Jacket

N H Jakobsen replaces Dan Thompson at #3
Matouš Kamenik now takes the #17 Reserve place.Oskar Hurysz (PZM) is the new #18

Simon has passed his final assessment, and is now a Referee. He is on a probationary status where he takes full charge of a meeting with an established Referee (Paul Carrington tonight?) also in attendance, but not necessarily in the Referees box.

Worrall is obviously using last season's race suit.

So I take it from that , that it is possible to win the Premier League without winning a single meeting all season .
Plus you have to love the table , you have to be a genius to understand it !
If you need to be a genius to understand it, just imagine how hard it was to produce a 'user friendly' Spreadsheet for it!

I think you will find that it is the Race Director, Morris, who calls the shots.

There were many matches on ITV. Coventry Cradley always a spicy affair.

Harris & Worrall are in the 8 man squad, so could be used.

Maybe they will once the win is mathematically certain?

All credit to the FIME for producing a format where riders meet all of the others in their 13 Rider group. But the downside of the format means that Seth Norman will not get his first race until race 12, (The two groups feature in alternate races) and two of his group will have already had 3 of their 4 qualifying races.

33 is not a female rider (Norma Seth), it's Seth Norman.

1 hour ago, bigcatdiary said:As explained earlier David, Niels could have been given a few seconds more, he had just done heats 12 & 13 so I dare say he needed some maintenance and possibly a tyre edge change., which was why he was late going to the gate.
It sounds reasonable to me.
Max Fricke had also done Heat 13.... He didn't need extra time.

1 minute ago, bigcatdiary said:Wayne Jarvis by his decision to exclude NKI delayed the meeting even more and made heat 15 a virtual non event bearing in mind FRICKE was unbeaten and Lawson had only been beaten once by NKI.
Common sense should have been applied, supporters go to watch speedway not referees making poor decisions
The overall consensus of opinion seems to differ from yours. Iversen only just beat the two minutes exclusion, and then proceeded to ignore the Referee and Start Marshall prompts to be ready to race.
How long should he have been given? Another minute..two minutes...?

Playing Devil's Advocate here.
In my working career I was trained by Rolls Royce (a GREAT company to work for BTW) as an apprentice and paid a wage whilst doing so.
Similar to a NL rider.
At the end of my apprenticeship, I was taken on as a full time machinist and paid a great deal more than my apprenticeship wage.
Similar to NL rider progressing to be a CL and/or PL rider.
If another company offered me, (now with a young family to support), a vastly increased wage to induce me to leave RR would I have changed jobs? Of course I would.
Wouldn't you?

British GP Cardiff Saturday 2nd September
in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup

Had to miss this year's event due to family reasons (the only time that I have not attended a Cardiff GP), but our group of 5 or 6 will definitely be back next year!
