My calculations of the 10/20 meeting GSA's.

Two points that needs to be addressed/revealed by the BSPL regarding the Super Heat.
What is the outcome of a (1st leg) meeting that is curtailed prior to a Super Heat being able to be run?
What happens if the 2nd leg is curtailed prior to a Super Heat being able to be run, with the teams level on aggregate?

No mention of the Rev Limiters which were due to be trialed/brought in for the 2020 Covid season!

The Averages are prepared (with Newcastle results removed) and will be published after being ratified at the AGM, as is the normal procedure.

Buoyed by the good news regarding the failed planning proposal there was a great turn-out at the NSSC last night to see ex-Bee Martin Smolinski.
Very interesting talk about his recovery from the severe hip injuries and his future plans. He also pledged to compete in the Brandon re-opening meeting for no payment!
The Save Coventry Stadium committee were roundly applauded for their efforts and vowed to challenge any potential appeal from Brandon Estates with as much vigour as they had in opposing the previous attempts to build housing on the land.
Nice emotional speech from Tony Gillias too.

Tony Gillias top man
the councillors saw through the bullrubbish and voted correctly
I know BE will appeal but a unanimous refusal must put them on the back foot at least
Was also good to see that there was no actual motion put forward to accept the Planning Officer's recommendation, just the motion to refuse.

Brandon Estates due in court shortly for failing to protect the site from incursions!
-
Well done the Save Coventry Stadium committee!
Their long-term fight and tactics and planning nous has been brilliant!

Maybe a points restriction to force a share out the Heat Leaders? (e.g. max 2 riders over 'x' points?)

Congratulations to Poole, peaking at the right time, and deserved Play Off winners.
Must say I was so impressed by the new track lighting at King's Lynn. Wow! Light racing in daylight.

They'll point to the fact that they've already held the prices as it's a double header "Grand" final... have you seen the so called Mildenhall team they're putting together? It's beyond a joke!
Two Finals at the price of one CL meeting is pretty good VFM is it not?

There you have it. Shovvy's ready-made excuse if the Lions win on aggregate! "Not fair! We would have won if it had been at Leicester!"
Not going to Rome this year Steve?

But (some) Poole fans want to win it after just one Play Off leg!

4 minutes ago, Chris116 said:So you are saying that the rules were changed after the event! Having looked at the rules on the SCB site as well as those quoted on this thread I can't find any changes so how can you claim the referee followed the rules correctly?
To return the question to you, where/what is the rule that the referee did not follow. And if there was a part that he did not follow, why did the Team managers not point that out to him?
-
2 hours ago, Chris116 said:If the referee complied with the rules to the letter why did the BSPL issue the statement the following day altering the result?
Did the referee get it wrong or has the BSPL moved the goal posts in the 24 hours after the meeting?
As I said, the Referee followed the rules, as they stood at the time, to the letter!

1 hour ago, Fromafar said:I assume if the meeting goes ahead tomorrow it is a double header with Leicester vMildenhall following on.?
NDL match is a 'freebie'. Normal Championship prices gets you both meetings.

18 minutes ago, Chris116 said:Did the referee not have a copy of the rule book or did the referee fail to read the rule book? The team managers also appear not to know the rule book as well as they should and even if you can't remember all the rules knowing where things are in the rule book and having the ability to actually read the relevant sections should be a minimum qualification for the job.
Heads should roll or at the very least some urgent re-training is required.
You can check out the Rule book yourself on the SCB Website, to see that the Referee complied with them to the letter!

1 minute ago, Grachan said:Of course it shouldn't. If that was the case, any side who tops the table but loses heavily in the first leg away could just decide not to stage their own leg and be declared champions.
If any side fails to stage their leg of the final, then the title should automatically go to the other team.
So the 'first leg' team just keeps delaying their match until it is impossible to fit in the 2nd leg?

3 minutes ago, Steve Shovlar said:That isn’t going to happen and you know it. The rules are clear. All teams signed up for playoffs. Pressure is on Leicester to solve their issues with the track.
Everyone wants them to sort it so the league can be settled.
The League WAS settled! Leicester topped the League.

2 minutes ago, Steve Shovlar said:We don’t want a one legged final. If the Leicester track remains unfit then use another track close by or use Belle Vue, which was rideable last night.
Agreed! if there is no second leg, the League Table should take precedence!
