    Redcar v Sheffield

A few rolls of thunder and a few droplets of rain, but still holding off here in Middlesbrough.

    Redcar v Sheffield

Overcast, here at the moment. Possible threat of rain, but the forecast say's, not due till 9pm. It has been like this, most of the morning, to be fair.
  3. Sorry, when I saw the words " hardly ever" , I thought you were referring, to correct statements, made by you.

Sorry, the comment was not meant to antagonise.

    Redcar v Birmingham

I think mention should be made, about Ulrich's performance, in this match. He rode his guts out, 100 % effort and it was a real pro performance, (as was Proctors). For the benefit of the Brummie fans, he looks to have turned a corner. His departure could have been a bit hasty. I don't think it was ever the rider, just mechanical issues.
  6. Once again, Bellers, goes to a different meeting to the rest of us. Sure, he started the meeting, riding the inside line, but he must have been watching, because the penny soon dropped, as to where he needed to ride. As HT has said he rode a great race, to block out a charging, Charles Wright. It was a good performance from him. The match, was also more entertaining, than I expected. Nathan Greaves, was spitting feathers. He is in good form at the minute and was making starts last night. It was frustrating for him, because his motor is fast and he was spinning up in the corners.
  7. I think the slickness of the track helped him, (it did exactly the opposite for Nathan Greaves, spinning up in the corners). He started out, riding the inside, but as the meeting progressed he moved out. He gave a good account of himself on the night. Have to say, Greavsey was not happy with the slickness of the track.

To be fair, Smoggy is the star of the show. She is so talented and the kids love her. The BSPA should recruit her, to entertain, during the intervals at the big events.

    Birmingham Brummies 2019

There's irony for you, someone coming in, as a replacement, for the person, who replaced them initially.

Hope Terry, is still doing the track at Redcar.

It has nothing to do with averages. Its all to do, with having a work permit, for each league. As I understand it, he only has a work permit for the prem, as does say Jaimon Lidsey. If they wanted to do it, they would have to apply for an extra work permit. This is how it was explained to me.

Becker can't, only has visa / work permit, for the premier league.

    Brummies v Bears

    Good choice.
  14. Are you for real. The semi final was crap (one liney all on the inside). The final only took off, because they stopped, pulling the material back to the inside and let it build up on the outside, for an outside line to develop.

Shouldn't be, he is in the top three of the team. Should be allowed a guest.

    Redcar v Scorpions 12.7.19 League

No, in truth, eight points is not a fair reflection, on Jordan Stewarts potential score. He has been well in double figures in all his recent home meetings, regularly outscoring Charles and MPT. The other rider, (non national league standard allegedly) , had never ridden Redcar before. In contradiction, to the Scunthorpe team managers, version of events in the BSPA site, (where Scunthorpe won with all the odds against them). The Scunthorpe team, had infinitely more experience of the Redcar track, than some of the home team. It is the fairest track in the league and some of the Scunthorpe riders, perform as well there, if not better than at Scunthorpe. I congratulate Scunthorpe on their victory, but lets not make it out to be an overwhelming performance.

    Redcar v Scorpions 12.7.19 League

Pretty fair assessment of the situation. The pressure of having four riders told, in the end. I don't know, if the Scorps fans, know how well Jake Allen goes around Redcar.

    Redcar v Scorpions 12.7.19 League

If anybody is implying anything, it's you He is only repeating, what the Redcar management stated of their intentions to reschedule the match. It would seem that the Scunthorpe promotion are not amenable to that. Still I suppose, that it is all in the best interests, of British speedway.
  19. A bit of familiarity and practice does not go amiss either
  20. I am sorry, but how do you work that out. For Redcar to be probably favourites for the cup. Three trick tracks, as opposed to the fairest track in the league. Eastbourne clear favourites for me.
  21. You are correct. The only reason the shale was not dragged back to the inside, was because it had been heavily watered (possibly too heavy), due to the sunny evening. Even though it was slick the inside was still quick.
  22. Gaz, don't react to him, he is not called bell end for nothing. Most of the Glasgow fans have been very gracious and he is just a wind up merchant.
  23. Wish I shared your optimism. Jordy's away from home, by the way.

    Newcastle 2019

I would imagine, most of those riders, you have named, would be unable to sign for Newcastle. This is because, of no sponsors licence and without that no visa. Wether Luke Becker would be eligible, (on his visa with Wolves), I don't know. Someone with far greater knowledge than I, on the matter, would need to supply the answer.

Redcar v Glasgow KOC (1st leg)

Yeah, would have to agree with that. 20 points would give us a shot, but 12 points, we would need to be very very lucky, to defend that.
