Derwent 271 Posted June 24, 2004 It's been confirmed that Simon Stead will be riding in saturday's GP in Copenhagen. Simon will be riding in Heat 4 with Bjarne P, Max and Laukkanen. Another Brit for us to cheer and a remarkable comeback for Simon following his bad injury earlier this season. Lets hope he does himself proud.
Grachan 7,364 Posted June 24, 2004 It will be interesting to see how Steady does in this compared to Cardiff last year. I get the feeling that since he's come back from injury he has shifted himself up a level. This will be a good tester for him.
Bandits4eva 1,006 Posted June 24, 2004 I've just got a feeling that Simon could at least make it into the main event ... hope he does though so we can keep that British Flag flying high

fatface 2,565 Posted June 24, 2004 Here, here. I think his career has stalled a little over the past couple of seasons, but I still believe him to be Britain's top prospect. This is a great opportunity for him to get a feel of the very top level of racing.

SCB 0 Posted June 24, 2004 How come hes in the gp anyway? Jarek Hampel is out injured, 1st reserve Jonas Kylamkorpi is o injured (both collar bones I think?!) so Simon, as 2nd reserve gets a chance. Good Luck Simon
