Swindon Academy Fixture 24/08 Bulls V Cobras

Recommended Posts

Does anybody have result and scorers for last nights academy fixture at Swindon??

Cheers Rich  ;)

Teams were not announced and PA gave only intermittent results/details of riders with a number of increasingly tetchy comments about the (lack of) info he was getting from the pits. So this should be treated with caution

Bulls 9 (Bates 2, Greenwood 3+1, Meakins 0, Butler 4)

Cobras 14 (Taylor 6, Blair 1, Reade 1, Sarjeant 6, Bint 0)

(match abandonned @ 10.10pm)

H1 Taylor, Greenwood, Blair, Bates(F/X) awarded

H2 Sarjent Butler Reade, Meakins (fell) 78.46

H3 Taylor, Bates, Greenwood, Reade 72.64

H4 Sarjeant, Butler, Bint (ret) - 3 riders only 77.86

Heat 2

Chris Bint rode not Ben Reade,Chris did well to hold on for 3rd place :o

His engine was very low on compression and had no guts at all, unlike me his Dad :D

The engine finally gave up the ghost in Heat 4 :( .

He tried his very best,no tantrums by either of us , and for the benifit of the "Goat" especially i am very proud of my Little Boy :o

Nice to see James Sarjeant offer Chris a lift back to the pits,it was the fastest he had travelled on a bike all night :D

As with the other posts the results are not confirmed but I am 99% sure this is it.The under 15's match lead to complete confusion and turmoil for the Swindon Staff/Crew and the riders were rushed around like a flock of Lambs.

Only Blair,Meakins,Serjeant and Butler were team riders. All others were R/R

Bulls 7

Bates 2 Fell heat 1

Read 1

Meakins 0 Fell heat 2 and was to injured to ride again

Butler 4

Bint 0 Retired motor problems came in as reserve for Meakins

Cobras 16

Taylor 6

Greenwood 3+1

Blair 1

Sarjeant 6

Phil

Chris rode for the Cobras and came 3rd in the 2nd race so he scored 1 point ,he had a yellow race jacket the same as Dan  .

And yes he retired in the 4th race with what i have since discovered was a sticking Inlet Valve, the little cap under the Tappet had popped out and was all mashed up in the Top End :(
