The Indians looked to have the possibility of a home win against MasarnaAvesta, but the away team took the command with three 4-2's in the opening four heats. Only four heat victories were recorded for Indianerna who doesn't seem able to get everything working for them during this season. MasarnaAvesta on the other hand are still fighting for a Play Off spot.

League leaders Västervik gave Smederna no chance, despite the meeting being held at Smedstadion. Västervik won each of the nine opening heats, getting heat advantages in all but two, to open up a 38-16 lead. Smederna didn't let the meeting slip further through their fingers but Niels-Kristian Iversen completed his maximum in heat 16 to stop the home side of reaching 40 points on the night.

Hammarby, without Scott Nicholls for an unknown reason, were eight points down already after two heat but came back to win it. Nicki Pedersen started the comeback as he won heat 9 as a tactical substitute and when Jensen/Smolinski combined for a 5-1 in heat 13, the meeting was suddenly tied. A 4-2 to Hammarby in heat 14, followed by heat wins for Jensen and Pedersen in the nomination heats were enough for the win.

Kaparna made several late changes and came without Matej Zagar so were unable to put up much of a fight. They only took two heat victories, one of them as Rafal Dobrucki defeated Kosiecha/Walasek in heat 7.

 

Christian Ingesson, the local Piraterna junior, hasn't had a great season in Elitserien, being scoreless in 10 heats before this meeting. He seems to be in good form though as he qualified for the Junior Championship Final last Saturday, and against Kaparna he beat at least one opponent in each heat to break his scoring draught.

When Jaroslaw Hampel fell and withdraw from the meeting with a broken arm, I must say I expected Dackarna to cruise it, but that never happened. The remaning Elit Vetlanda riders, lead by Thomas H Jonasson at reserve, tried the very best they could but despite a 40-38 lead with only three heats to go, Dackarna were stronger in the end, finishing with two 5-1's in the nomination heats infront of the biggest crowd of the year in Elitserien.

Kaparna are home to Dackarna on 7.8.07 and Indianerna on 21.8.07.

but be careful, Kaparna dont have a `home` track at the moment and are using different venues, depending who they`re against to stage thier home meetings.
