So Rye House are to hold both the NLRC and the ill fated NL 4TT final on Saturday and Sunday 2nd / 3rd October. I suppose with some of the riders already at Rye House it kind of makes sense. But will it attract decent crowds both days, I fear not!

Isn't it the other way 'round..: NLRC on the Saturday, Fours on the Sunday..?

Expect a Buccs double, BTW...: Jerran winning the NLRC and then the boys "coming back from the dead" to take the Fours..!! :approve:

From the BSPA site;

NL WEEKEND AT RYE

FRIDAY AUGUST 13, 2010

RYE House will play host to a big weekend of National League action in early October.

Hoddesdon has been named as the venue for the re-staging of the Fours Final, which was abandoned at Mildenhall earlier in the season.

Buxton, Bournemouth, Dudley and the hosts will do battle on Saturday, October 2 (7pm) with the individual League Riders' Championship going ahead as scheduled the following afternoon (2.30pm).

National League co-ordinator Peter Morrish said: "This promises to be an excellent weekend. We've been working hard to get the Fours re-arranged and now we have two meetings in two days which should be a real highlight of the National League season."

Will be coming down for full weekend for this, i dont mind Rye House hosting both as they put on a good show all the time when it comes to these events and its upto rest of field to beat the home team. We have a great chance as this has been a great season for us !

Wouldn't be surprised if the NLRC is won by a rider participating in the Fours the previous day.

Ah right, i stand corrected..! Suits be better as can only make one and it's the Fours I want to see!!

With the Ryder Cup singles on Sunday 3rd Oct I see this as a very poor decision to hold the NLRC.

Len has already moved from Saturday nights to Sunday afternoon in October to avoid clashing with the "X" factor and now goes against one of the biggest golf events in the world? blink.gif

Would that REALLY affect the crowd for the NLRC..?!!

I note that he's taking a chance with the NL4s beating the dubious attractions of a man who wears his strides too high pontificating over the singing talents of some young tart!!

I'll be there on the Saturday (at Rye, NOT with the young tart!) but the 'DD' Factor (dust and delay) in truth makes Sunday less appealing..!

THE line-up is now known for the NATIONAL LEAGUE Riders’ Championship at Rye House on Sunday, October 3.

The full line-up is:

James Brundle (Bournemouth), Craig Cook (Buxton), Adam Allott (Buxton), Lee Smart (Dudley), Barrie Evans (Dudley), Paul Starke (Isle of Wight), Nick Simmons (Isle of Wight), Simon Lambert (King’s Lynn), Darren Mallett (King’s Lynn), Todd Kurtz (Newport), Kyle Newman (Newport), Nicki Glanz (Plymouth), Mark Simmonds (Plymouth), Kyle Hughes (Rye House), Gary Irving (Scunthorpe), James Cockle (Weymouth).

The meeting will be sponsored once again by www.hireacanalboat.co.uk.

The NLRC will complete a special weekend at Rye House that opens the night before, Saturday, October 2 (7pm) with the staging of the National League Fours Championship. This 16 heat final will pit the Cobras against Dudley, Buxton and Bournemouth.

Given the number of supporters expected in from around the country to make a full weekend of the two meetings, a special Two Day Event ticket will be on sale at the Saturday meeting, priced at £20 (no concessions) and £8 (children).

Individual meeting prices will be: Adults £15, Seniors £13 and Children £5, highlighting the savings available.

A combined programme will cover both meetings, priced at £2.

Smart, Cook or Hughes for NLRC ... Nobody else has much of a chance.

May pop along to the NLRC, but the 4's doesn't interest me much

Smart, Cook or Hughes for NLRC ... Nobody else has much of a chanc

Er, after seeing Simon Lambert wipe the floor with Cookie and Lee Smart (on the latter's home track to boot) with a faultless maximum display in the Golden Hammer at Dudley tonight (well strictly speaking yesterday now..!) I'd respectfully suggest that Simon has a lot more than "not much of a chance"..!!

Watch out too for Barrie Evans - a RH track specialist and always a threat therefore in the NLRC AND looked pretty sharp tonight too...
