YerRopes 3,009 Posted October 14, 2010 No. It would be hilarious though to steal him from under Coventry's noses when they are the ones who have manipulated his average. He is not a Coventry asset and clearly prefers the Poole tack to Brandon. Matt should get on the phone to him. It would be funnier if Fat Maud made the call and he then went to Ipswich or Eastbourne - the teams that perhaps need a bit of extra help with their team building.... Beeone 0 Posted October 14, 2010 He's raced 17 meetings for Coventry. Good point, just not all count for averages, eg playoffs and KO cup I guess, move on Shovvy

Nah it doesn't work like that.
T.N.T. 355 Posted October 14, 2010 I had to tell you a dozen times last season, I've told you once this season already but Josh will be a 3 in the EL as he has raced over 12 meetings and averaged marginally over 3, with a reduction he is back down to 3. WRONG SCB The highest average counts .... Thetrefore Haines and Auty have higher EL averages next year due to their PL Averages. If you really think Auty will be a 3.00 rider next season, then answer this one .... Had he averaged 8.58 in the Premier League then what average would he be given if he decided to ride for Coventry ? 3.00 or 4.29 Funny thing is, because Pawlicki has yet to ride 12 meetings, he is not a Coventry asset. And with all this "he is definately a 4 pointer for 2011", wouldn't it be really funny if Matt called him up and he signed for Pirates as a reseve for 2011. Now that really would be funny. And completely possible. Go get him Matt. No. It would be hilarious though to steal him from under Coventry's noses when they are the ones who have manipulated his average. He is not a Coventry asset and clearly prefers the Poole tack to Brandon. Matt should get on the phone to him. Pawlicki is a Bees asset as he has ridden more than 12 matches for Coventry .... just that only 11 were league !!
bellevueace 917 Posted October 14, 2010 All of this has really just highlighted pooles hypocrosy, how many times have they manipulated the rules? The play off final could have been ridden on any track and the result would have been the same, as it was the 2nd leg was ridden at POOLE and coventry mullered them. Gracious in defeat is obviously something ford dosent do.
Silver Bee 57 Posted October 14, 2010 WRONG SCB You told both of us we were wrong about double uppers getting averages last winter and were wrong yourself. Do you really want to go through all that again?

Had he averaged 8.58 in the Premier League then what average would he be given if he decided to ride for Coventry ? 3.00 or 4.29 Auty will be 3. Haines will be half his PL average because Wolves messed up and didnt give him a 12th meeting. I just can't see what rule you're refering to. However, for the record, he's what I am seeing (bear in mind 2009 becomes 2010, 2008 becomes 2009 etc etc) 17.1.3 A Rider may have a: 2009 EL or PL CMA only. 2009 EL and PL CMA (as a consequence of Doubling-Up or transferring Clubs / Leagues) during the 2009 season 2009 EL CMA and 2008 PL CMA (as a consequence of transferring Clubs / Leagues before the 2009 season). 2009 PL CMA and 2008 EL CMA (as a consequence of transferring Clubs / Leagues before the 2009 season). An Assessed CMA (see SR 17.3 below). Nothing at all about the higher of two figures. You argued all last year that double uppers would double up in 2010 on their 2009 PL average converted, I told you that you were wrong. I'm now telling you that you're wrong on this one. Seb the Snail 22 Posted October 14, 2010 What a dreadfully sad article by Mr Ford in last night's Poole programme. The team that was caught red-handed last season defeated by a team that did nothing wrong and peaked at precisely the moment that it needed to. More than enough has already been said on this thread, but he would do well to remember exactly how he put his almost all-conquering team together in the first place. His estimation in the sport has fallen still further this week; if that was possible.
stevebrum 6,831 Posted October 14, 2010 The case rest's M'lud. indeed, Coventry deserved champions 2010 latest rumours suggest he's coventry bound Like darcy Ward was definetly Peterbotough bound!!
Beeone 0 Posted October 14, 2010 (edited) Its the league that counts towards his average, or do you have different rules. Not referring to his average, just the assertion that he is not a Bees asset because he has not completed 12 matches. He has, but not all in the league, ie. playoffs for a start, or have you forgotten those!!. Edited October 14, 2010 by Beeone

DarrenCook 0 Posted October 14, 2010 One things for sure. He will never ride for a "haven't won jack in 40 odd years and counting team". We're not the ones boo-hooing because he crushed, thrashed & humiliated us. Thanks again, Shamek for making Poole the laughing stock of speedway. :D
