Triple B's 1 Posted November 1, 2010 He was still here Sunday morning. Having just read the piece again. Todd doesn't actually go home until Thursday (4th November). So unless he's had to send his bikes back home before he actually leaves, Im not sure why he didn't ride in the NLRC.

Parsloes 1928 nearly 495 Posted November 1, 2010 Parsloes your nothing but a sore loser Sore loser in what sense? I have no connection whatsoever or allegiance to Dudley or Newport..!! You'd best read again. The people who are so angry and upset at the farce that has been the end of this particular third tier season (probably as a result of this, the last as a meaningful division) are those of us who have actually devoted time and energy over the years to this particular form of Speedway. Of course the Moss family are way ahead of us in that respect and a massive well down to them and all others at Buxton for their achievement. BUT none of that hides the clear fact that over the Fours, the Play Offs and the Riders Championship this has been a massive cock-up... If you can't see that from your position over in Oz fair enuff, but trust me it has been; and to bury ones head in the sand and say, oh actually all is well is going to do no-one and least of all the sport any good... squall 270 Posted November 1, 2010 Our congratulations to Buxton on their clean sweep of trophies and although no one can predict it one wonders what the outcome would be with two legs and a full Hornets side with messers Kurtz, Jones, Webster and White-Williams? The team that lost 44-46 the first time half of the Buxton team had seen Newports track? If we're "making up" teams, give Buxton Nick Morris and Charles Wright... dave69 1,534 Posted November 1, 2010 I agrre that Newport were missing riders due to injuries and riders returning to Australia as did Buxton but for the Main Man to include Mark Jones in the list of missing riders does seem strange to certain people. The reason Mark Jones was missing was that his six month visa/permit ran out in early September. A question that either Mr Mallett or Mr Rogers have answered, letters sent to them in early September and I am still awaiting a reply, is did Mark have the current paperwork to ride any NL meetings in 2010 because as Tyson Nelson found out in July a 6 month vistors visa does not allow you to ride team speedway either as a professional or a amateur according to the immigration rules of GB as outlined on the UKBA web site and breaking these rules can result in heavy fines for the employer and deporatation for the illegal immigrant Is anyone from the Newport promotion prepare to come on this forum and state where on the UKBA web site it states that holders of a six month permit/visa can be employed as a sportsman or why or how Marks' paperwork was different from that held by Tyson Nelson otherwise maybe they should remeber the old saying about the best thing to do when you are in a hole is to stop digging By the way congratulations to all at Buton especially the promotion who did comply with the rules be they the rules set by the BSPA or the UKBA I always thought that,I expect Main Man will be along to explain where our thinking is flawed. Main Man 222 Posted November 1, 2010 Why did Todd not ride in the NLRC last night? Bikes all packed up as well as his suitcase ready for trip back to Oz
dave69 1,534 Posted November 1, 2010 Bikes all packed up as well as his suitcase ready for trip back to Oz Thanks for that, can you explain the Mark Jones conspiracy theory, too?
scribbler 213 Posted November 1, 2010 Bikes all packed up as well as his suitcase ready for trip back to Oz Why were you allowed a guest facility? Surely by being packed up he was refusing to ride... Robert Brandford rode - and he's back off to Oz...
Triple B's 1 Posted November 1, 2010 (edited) Should a guest have been used to cover his absence? I was under the idea that in the NL you can only use a guest for your No1? Edit: Which was Darren Mallett Friday Night (Would of been ) & Steve?? Worrall up at Buxton. Edited November 1, 2010 by Triple B's

21st century heathen 220 Posted November 1, 2010 Why were you allowed a guest facility? Surely by being packed up he was refusing to ride... I was under the idea that in the NL you can only use a guest for your No1? Have a read of the thread dedicated to facilities for Aussies leaving early. In the NL the rules allow a facility if riders are missing for any reason. Something that desperately needs to be amended this winter to prevent this kind of thing happening again. Killer Cat from Mars 16 Posted November 1, 2010 Buxton Hitmen - Triple Champions has a great ring to it! Well done to all the riders, management, promotion, sponsors and supporters of the Hitmen for completing a dream year for the club that has had this level of speedway at its heart since the inception of the Third Tier in the 90's. Whatever has been said on here about the last month, no-one can deny that Buxton deserve this success and are worthy Champions in all three trophies.
montie 1,273 Posted November 1, 2010 Thanks for that, can you explain the Mark Jones conspiracy theory, too? as i see it ,there is know need for explaining the theory,if the borders agency are correct in what they say,he shouldnt have been riding, just like Tyson Nelson, reading there info, there is no difference between the two
