Light rain at the moment. Tonight is going to be touch and go.

Wouldn`t be on the old shale.

It's rained in Cardiff for the last hour - tried to ring the track - anyone know if this is still on? Thanks

Definately on according to Lawrence.

I`m not risking a rain off mind. Staying at home with a beer.:lol:

Interesting fact came out of this meeting, for Newport only 2 riders won races, 6 wins between them, whereas for the Heathens 6 different riders won races, debatable point was, should this meeting have started ?, credit to ALL the riders, thankfully no one was seriously injured.

Full credit to all riders and track staff (they deserve a medal), must've been very horrid riding on a track where u can't see anything! Glad no one was seriously injured. A draw was good enough considering the circumstances

If this meeting wasnt the night before the Grand prix,I dont think a wheel would have been turned. Take away the Dudley fans and quite honestly,it would have easily halved the crowd,if not by more.

Once started,I think it should have been called off after 6 'races'. Conditions were not improving. Despite Jon Armstrong twice visiting the referees box, following a track inspection,it still continued.

Then the REFEREE called a halt at Ht12,despite the riders from BOTH teams saying the track was safer at that point than it had been all night!

Well done Dudley,a real TEAM effort.

The only saving grace was that there were no injuries.

At least they got the meeting to heat 12, thankfully for Dudley as they probably would of lost had it been completed.

Kurtz and Herne superb. Kurtz this year is flying, could well be pushing an 11 point average around Newport. I just cant see who the next NL rider will be to beat him at home, hes riding that well.

Thats probably true of the conditions last night, but t,other question is, would they have lost had conditions been more ridable/raceable ??, so probably a draw was a fair result, and a way out for the Ref.
