Ride n Slide Dayz 2012 14 Posted June 12, 2012 Calling all amateur speedway riders, if history is anything to go by, this is one meeting you won't want to miss ! Dragons Amateur Speedway is proud to announce that in conjunction once again with The MTD Group of companies, the Credit Crunch event is heading to Sittingbourne next month. This is a two-legged event, the first taking place on Sunday July 8th, 11.30am start while the all decisive second leg to be held on Sunday September 16th, with the same start time. The meeting traditionally features three, yes three, 7-man team events each run over 18 heats, so there will be fifty-four quality heats of racing to be seen on the day. The event is open to all abilities with riders being divided into Club, Intermediate and Support teams to contest the matches. This event is our way of putting a little something back in return for the support all of our members and some non-members show us throughout the season and with the very generous support of the MTD Group we are able to offer this awesome event to the riders for just £15 for members and £20 for non-members !! You will not get better value than this at any amateur meeting all season. To reserve your place for this event contact Julie Tutton on 01633 858899 or 07920 002785 as soon as you can to ensure a start. In both of the last two years this event has filled up very quickly and we have had people on a reserve list hoping for someone to pull out at the last minute. So come on guys and girls, Dragons lead while others follow where innovation is concerned in Amateur speedway, why not be part of that success ! The event really is something else, you only have to speak to anyone who has ridden in it, presentation is top class and the racing has always been awesome. It looks like being an awesome days racing with four, yes four of our Speedway Ride n Slide Dayz attendee's taking part. Watch out for Alec Wright, Mark Wilsher, Alan Shallcross and Shaun Crawley. Glad I decided to sit in the comfort of the ref's car for a while as we got to the track early rather than go straight up to the officials' box!
