Gavan 5,050 Posted September 16, 2012 why is it a stupid post? there isnt a lot of skill in riding peterborough just wind it on and occasionally go over the grass! thats why the poles are good round there fast bikes. stick them at lakeside or wolves and they are useless. LagutaRacingFan 1,936 Posted September 16, 2012 If there isn't a lot of skill involved then how do Peterborough have a lot of "Home Advantage" as you call it. Doing things at speed is much tougher than going at 5mph around Lakeside or Wolves.

Perhaps stupid was the wrong word, probably simplistic would have been better. And grass tracking hasn't been a factor at the EoES for 10 years which suggest that you're in a time warp as well. As for such home track advantage, I've never understood that. Joe Screen once called the Showground boring, just sitting there going round in a circle - doesn't sound like a recipe for home dominence does it? And that was before the track was widened considerably to make it fair for anyone with sufficient gonads. Panthers have dropped half a dozen or so points at home whereas Swindon who have a similar alleged home track advantage (as do all sides at the end of the day) have dropped 3 and also managed to win 7 away matches - slight inconsistency there don't you think? Don't get too hung up on the Poles, we don't! Edited September 16, 2012 by Crump99
