Champions League No Go

Not true. They did try and the concept was flawed that's all. They did communicate with each other as that's how they found out it was flawed.

Not fair criticism.

Really? Unfair criticism of whom? What part of the UK Speedway Series concept was "flawed" other than the BSPA not allowing it to be run on their tracks (as that's what you've highlighted)?

Still, whatever.... the problems, however you want to interpret them were pretty minor in comparison to the stupendous falling apart of this "concept".

KA-BOOOOOM! Speedway made to look like something akin to the clowns' car at the circus with the doors falling off.

Still, at least Sky weren't briefed about the Champions League - otherwise they would have mentioned plans to cover it.

After all, what with the EL contract up for renewal, the SGPs already having (apparently) been dropped, the BSPA need to come accross as organised & working together with their foreign counterparts will be good.

Uh-Oh.... Hang on..... KA-BOOOOOM! "Hey Coco! Your car bonnet just blew off too!" :icon_smile_clown:

My 'flawed' comment referred to the new Euro League but you knew that anyway. The UK Speedway Series has been well discussed and the rest of us have moved on, try it.

For the last two years there has been lots of discussions about the Euro League, especially the difficulties of riders riding for who and payrates. Progress was thought to have been made and obviously SKY would have been involved to make the concept viable and publicised. Unfortunately it appears the problems can't be resolved hence the admission now. Not a good idea IMO but these things are worth trying.

Please note I have tried to be adult in my reply to you, unlike your response Bob.

to be fair i think he's missed the point of the joke which is for it to be sung to the tune of Tom Hark when beating a top 4 premiership team.

As a Middlesbrough FC fan i wouldn't know how that felt

Now lets all be a bit nicer

A European League is the last thing we need. Like everything else, it is a pipe dream based on personal benefits. This will not benefit British speedway. We want to concentrate on our own league and learn to WALK first, When we've done that, we can then try to RUN ...... On the face of it, we are the weakest nation of the 4 but the only one that puts any importance in this scheme..... What's that tell you?????
