Aaah yes, good old Gentleman jack. I've met him a couple of times, smashing chap.

He generally copes well with bike racing, apart from being obsessed with what county riders are from. With 20-30 blokes (and the odd lady) and 20 laps to commentate on he does okay.

Which makes it harder to understand why he struggled with 4 riders over 4 laps, unless it was Sudden Sam confusing him!

Jack is excellent in the Superbikes and everybody gets a mention .More time to give information and knows his stuff.

To be fair, the cameraman on the start line at the Race Off last Thursday did his best to get some 'up the skirt' shots of the Monster girls.

Gave me a 2 minute warning at one stage!

It's pretty obvious where the Eurosport coverage falls down , not enough emphasis is placed on the Monster girl's arses . Fair enough it's probably supposed to be about speedway , but where a GP is being held on a temporary track , surely more coverage of the start ladies would enhance the evening's entertainment and take our minds off the poor fayre on the track .

Eurosport , like most fringe cable channels , have a duty to cater for your average pervert instead of wasting time on four wee guys going round in circles on a motor bike thingy .

Are they actually Eurosport cameras and cameramen being used?

Yes indeed. Many other sports have shouting commentators, football and horse racing to name just two

You say that as is Kelv and Nige are any good at it. Josef Franc. It's not hard. It's Franc(e) like the county not Frank.

Really???

Funny, as Pepe pronounces it "Frank" and I would have thought he should know.

If he's really Czech then really. "c" is Czech is more of an s and certainly not a k sound think how you say Vaclav or Vaculik(Slovakian maybe but same base language) or Stancl

Back in the 80s, a fan, with studious attitude, actually wanted me banned from every speedway track in the country, simply for pronouncing Olly Tyvainerains name wrong!

Still can't spell it, by the looks of things... ;)

Dear Eurosport

Please can you tell that imbecile who is commentating on the SWC at the moment, that the winner of a heat scores three points.

Not three big points, just three. They only come in one size.

But it's perfectly possible to say that a heat win is crucial, or vital etc.

Better still, replace him with the guy who commentates for you on Swedish league matches (Dave Rowe); he seems knowledgeable and not like he is high on cocaine.

Thank you

Quite right too. The "new" commentator on Eurosport (who thankfully replaced that "Jack bloke" who made even Pearson sound good!) is a much better and more importantly PROFESSIONAL, commentator than the cretin Pearson. For example, when he's commentating on a rider passing someone for the lead, he raises his voice a little, instills some excitement and carries on describing what is happening (like a good commentator should do) rather than just resorting to making monkey noises and screams, that seems to be the standard childish response from Pearson. Thats the sort of thing you expect someone who's been dragged off the terraces and into the commentary booth at the last second and told to "have a go" at commentating, rather than what a so called professional commentator (sic) like Pearson should be doing.

In the slavic language 'c' is pronounced 'ts' as in bats, cats, mats and Zywiec. :P

That "jack bloke" (Jack Burnicle) is actually a very good and professional commentator. Tune in when motorcycle racing is on ie British Superbikes, and you will recognise he's been around a bit and knows his stuff. Having said that, he did make a few "gaffs" on Swedish speedway on Tuesday evenings but he made me chuckle, probably because I knew he is bloomin good but speedway was not his forte. He is still on British Superbikes and commentating very well.

Yes, I know that and YES, I know he is very knowledgeable of his specialist subjects, just that speedway most certainly wasn't one of them!!...

Andy Jaye & Scotty are better then Kelv & Nige, fresher, more insightful, Andy is a little like an excited kid at times but I like the enthusiasm. Sophie is so much better then Charlie who is still tripping up over her words! I dont think Sky's team are awful, I just prefer Eurosport's

Maybe he is just being kind over here, as everybody says "Frank"

Over in Czecho, at the Golden Helmet and other meetings I have watched there over the years, its always been pronounced "France".....

Lots of riders names are pronounced differently outside of the UK.

The H bit in Thomas H Jonasson for instance is pronounced Ho in Swedish but I've never heard anyone in the UK pronounce it correctly!
