The last thing we want is an unhappy rider.

100% agree.

Just not quite the fluffy amicable agreement that many hailed it as.

Seems not.

Looking further ahead to 2016, with the way Nikolai Busk Jakobsen has started we could be in the awkward position of having two 8 point riders by the end of this year. Someone will have to make way

Not overly fussed about the Kennet deal. Hes always great at home and we effectively get to cheery pick when he is missing. Id take Masters over him at Somerset all day

a much better problem to have than whether you should stay loyal to riders who have been sh!te!

And Plymouth...

Terribly weak from Silver and could easily cost the side points in the long run. There is no chance Jon Cook would have done the same in return ano your mad to believe otherwise.

It's another example of why Silver needs to go as he's lost touch and shows he has no winning mentality at all. This cosy agreement just shows he has bent over backwards for Lakeside and the rider. He's our asset now for christ sake, we call the shots.

Edward can ride any track on his day if in the mood, so horses for courses guests is a load of crap. His average not being what it should also means the leagues top boys aren't an option.

Very poor and weak management.

Was going to suggest Nick Morris, but Swindon are at Lakeside on the 10th. How about Josh Auty?

That's a little unfair on Len Silver. (did I really say that?)

There's a good chance that Lakeside would've shown Edward the door if Len had put his foot down and insisted he rides for the Rockets when there is a fixture clash. We could've had one pi$$ed off team captain and look what that did to us last year. Catch 22 situation, not a lot he could do in my opinion.

Chris, I for one thought that you would be over the moon this year. In the way that Len has negotiated an organised and hopefully sucessful withdrawal from the day to day management and promotion of the Rye House Rockets.

The bonus of having Andrew Silver being brought into the fold to manage the Raiders can only be a plus to the organisation.

Redevelopment of the stadium, a motorsport involved successor, a good looking team, who at present have beaten all opposition put in front of them, the resurgence of the Raiders, a new young star rider, who will become a Rye asset in the near future.... and all you can see is that Ed may be unavailable for a couple of meetings during the season.

Chill out man, life as a Rye House fan is good at present. Please do not bring your personal grudges, with a guy who has overall been a massive positive for the sport at Rye House to this forum.

Join the happy crowd, home and away. Cheer the team, support the sport and pray for a winning and safe season for the riders and management of Rye House Restart Rockets and Raiders.

We will still have a decent pick of guests. This to me is the best way for us to operate this year. As you said we keep a happy captain and we get to pick track specialists when hes not there

I feel justified in my criticism after spending hundreds of my hard earned, travelling thousands of miles to watch them last year

We've already got more League Cup points than we did from our 8 group meetings last season.

Not a great situation regarding Kennett (but remember this is speedway, not a normal sport) more concerned about Swedish commitments for Busk and Robin.
