montie 1,273 Posted March 17, 2015 Have to agree, I always attend the Press and Practice Day and always look forward to it, but it is no way to judge who loks good and who does not. Agree--you cant tell who is quick---but you can tell whos is shyte!!!
peterborough daz 220 Posted March 17, 2015 can we afford to go R/R for Adam Roynon until he is fit again? No Is that what the club have said?
Gemini 4,894 Posted March 17, 2015 Do Peterborough fans really want Adam to ride again? He's had so many injuries I just wish he'd call it a day now while he's still relatively in one piece.
jenga 2,998 Posted March 17, 2015 covering adams rides can be done by your 2 reserves , who if anything to go by from the first meeting will cover the r/r rides and prob get a few more points. simon l is going great at the moment . cant see it being a prob at home. imo. Lukas 911 Posted March 17, 2015 Look what happened last year when we run with r/r
jenga 2,998 Posted March 17, 2015 but you didnt have simon at reserve. change at your peril. as i said before. welcome back at worky any time.
TheScotsman 2,483 Posted March 17, 2015 I think r/r for the number 5 puts far too much pressure/strain/reliance on the reserves if used for more than the occasional meeting. Especially away from home.
Panthers89 1,922 Posted March 17, 2015 R/R is fine, certainly wont score anyless than a replacement IMO.... R/R at #2 is fine, as means Lambert takes 2 rides, Greenwood 1 ride and Blackbird in heat 8.
TheScotsman 2,483 Posted March 17, 2015 It's fine as a short term. But reserves having to take a minimum of 5/6 rides plus any replacement rides puts a big strain if it goes on for a couple of months.
Panthers89 1,922 Posted March 17, 2015 Agreed, but if its only 4-6 weeks like quoted, then that's fine IMO. Injuries don't ever come at a good time BUT if you was to get injured, rather get injured this part of the season than the business end.
Noodles 1,337 Posted March 17, 2015 (edited) Just had a quick look at fixtures until end of April and looks like a return to the patched up Panthers. Fri 27th March Rye House Home - no Roynon, Simon, Blackbird. Friday 3rd April Ipswich away - no Roynon, Robert, Blackbird Friday 3rd Ipswich home - no Roynon, Simon. Thursday 23rd Redcar away - no Roynon, Robert Friday 24th Somerset away - no Roynon, Blackbird. Edited March 17, 2015 by Noodles
Panthers89 1,922 Posted March 17, 2015 No lewis constantly will cost us a chance for the title this season.
TheScotsman 2,483 Posted March 17, 2015 And being without Simon L for a couple of home matches, which means a guest replacement, makes r/r even more of a hit or miss gamble.
Odds On 373 Posted March 17, 2015 could Bunyan do a job for Pboro as a temporary solution?
Brough Diamond 60 Posted March 17, 2015 (edited) Just had a quick look at fixtures until end of April and looks like a return to the patched up Panthers. Fri 27th March Rye House - no Roynon, Friday 3rd Ipswich - no Roynon, Thursday 23rd Redcar - no Roynon, Friday 24th Somerset- no Roynon. That's quite catchy if you sing it to the "all about the base" tune by Megan Traynor Here's hoping for a speedy recovery for Adam though. The lad needs some good luck eventually Edited March 17, 2015 by Brough Diamond
