JC! 142 Posted October 24, 2014 1 Stuart Robson 2 Kennett 3 Woffinden 4 D King 5 Sundstrom 6. A Silver 7 Roynon My goodness it just doesn't look like a Rye team without Luke Bowen at 6! Seriously, take out Robson for Ted Hubbard and King for Marvyn Cox and this is about right.

I never saw Hubbard or Cox so couldn't comment on them but I'd have Robson in over King, Sundstrom, Kennett and Roynon certainly if we're going on what they did while in a Rye race jacket. Totally respect your opinion, but for me, Hubbard was Mr Rye House when he was number 1 in the late 70's, and would be a must. Cox was, to put it quite simply, considerably better than King (particularly looking at '83), and, in fact, in that '83 season was probably among the very best Rockets ever. Can't ever remember Robson at 7, but I totally agree you could easily make an argument for him over King, Sundstrom or Kennett.

I only started going to Rye in 2004 so can only really pick riders i've seen.
AndyJ 95 Posted October 26, 2014 Belle Vue since I started actively following the sport in the early 80s. 1. Jason Crump (if the opposition includes capable opponents who'll create a worthwhile race) 2. Kelly Moran 3. Chris Morton 4. Shawn Moran 5. Peter Collins 6. Jason Lyons 7. Joe Screen Narrowly squeezed out were Andy Smith, Carl Blackbird (1986), Kaj Laukkanen (the all action 1999 version of him) and Neil Collins. All riders who've been worth the entry money on their own at times.
