mdmc82 2,878 Posted August 20, 2015 Help we need somebody help not just anybody heeellllp We have been telling the management the same thing for ages but it falls on deaf ears. Look at Summers at Swindon, if they stuck with Kcrmar he would be scoring 0, yet summers scored 9. Big difference in a meeting.
Bee 26 426 Posted August 20, 2015 Like Matej Kus?! Barker would be a decent guest for Robbo. On Sunday the Polish season ends unless teams are in the play-offs. Means Dudek, Zmarzlik and Buczkowski could be looking for extra meetings.... Dream on

Bees_Man 454 Posted August 20, 2015 Not convinced. If Robbo is still out Friday it's making us look a bit of a laughing stock with those points spare.
Robert Lee 128 Posted August 21, 2015 This seems like a good time to re-ignite the "to play-off or not to play-off" debate. Without the play-offs, we'd now be in a huge battle with Poole for the league title, with Swindon coming up on the rails. What a finale to a season of ups and downs! Would probably have had big crowds for the last few matches, especially as two of them are against Swindon. Under the play-off system, with the current team, our season is already over. Any of the other play-off contenders will trounce us over two legs. Just saying...........

With your current team you would have no chance of winning the league either, cant see you finishing top unless you change the team.
mdmc82 2,878 Posted August 21, 2015 (edited) With your current team you would have no chance of winning the league either, cant see you finishing top unless you change the team.We are not going to finish top. I agree that a change is needed although I also think it's more than just bringing in a new rider that we need, we also need improvements in Hans & Sarjeant as both are capable of much more than we are seeing. It's a shame as we have been so good all season but look very flat at the worst time, but that's speedway for you. Edited August 21, 2015 by mdmc82

Robert Lee 128 Posted August 21, 2015 Not convinced. If Robbo is still out Friday it's making us look a bit of a laughing stock with those points spare. Maybe when Robbo went for his brain scan the promotion should of booked in for one as well. All this clamouring for team changes and slagging off the promotion is all very well, but what if Mick Horton is one of those stubborn, opinionated people who don't like being told what to do and instinctively do the opposite? (I can relate to this!) What we need is a petition along these lines: Please, Mick, don't go making changes just for the sake of winning matches. Stay loyal to your hard-trying team, as they have stayed loyal to the Bees' cause. Don't go dipping into the Polish rider market now that their season is nearly over. And whatever you do, don't bring in some Johnny Foreigner like MJJ to replace good old Robbo. Might work if enough people sign it.
mdmc82 2,878 Posted August 21, 2015 (edited) In fairness to Horton, at the start of the season he did bring in Kylmakorpi to replace Jamrog after seeing what a huge mistake it would be to keep him. He also listened the fans suggestions of riders and look at what a huge difference that has made to our season. However the problem here is because we have had a good season and been top for most of it, I honestly think he doesn't see that we need changes. Whilst other teams have got stronger or improved in form, we have riders who are riding way below their capability and we also have 2pts spare at the most important time of the season. What he does or doesn't do this week with the deadline approaching could have a huge say in how our season ends. As I stated though, as well as a new signing, we also need some of our current riders to hit the form we know they are capable of. Injuries aren't helping either. Think this could be another year of how close but yet so far Edited August 21, 2015 by mdmc82
