Sheffield Tigers Vs Workington Comets 25/6/15 Premier League

Recommended Posts

To be fair, the Promoters have put a lot of money, time and effort in 2014 and this year to rectify the problems with the track, which didn't get the required attention during the 2 or 3 seasons before.

The sun is shining! Looking forward to this one, a few away riders that can get round our track should = a decent meeting.

Workyboy - have you ever been to Owlerton??

Many, many times. Great stadium, good bars and viewing. Better when you had the one and only Dave Hoggart on the Mike.

Only problem ........ F T G ..... Boring

Another rubbish performance on the road . Where is this team any stronger I don't think so .we will never win anything on the road. Lets face it we are just not good enought

It was all won from the gate in your dreams. The problem was Worky were rubbish. If it wasn't for Wells it would have been embarrassing.

The score flattered Worky - 2 punctures for Sheffield riders, one of which gifted Bach 4 points instead of 1 and both of which gifted Wethers 2 of his 3 points, and also bike problems for Bellego in another probably gave them at least a point. Wells and to an extent Hansen aside, the whole team looked a bit pants - Harrison, Wethers and Barrett were pretty woeful.

Some great rides by Kurtz, Compton and Bates. Birks looked like the medics were trying to attend him in the pits for summats or other, Sissis was unlucky to pick up a puncture and was there or thereabouts, Bellego rode hard and clearly had problems in one race, Garrity did what we have come to expect.

Workyboy - you would have been disappointed by the overtaking...

Appears to have been a bit of wishful thinking on my behalf that we could get something from this meeting?

Looks to have been a very inept performance by all bar a couple, said before that the shuffling about just meant that the same points would just come from a different area and so it's proving, no one is "improving" too many single figure scores, low single figure scores from our main body to really trouble Sheffield tonight, by reading some of the comments here and on updates it would appear that a "just as bad as Somerset" result was only avoided by bad luck to Sheffield rather than our own efforts?

Dont suppose we could blame the track could we??

Another bad night at the office for the Comets and to be fair, I really can't, and much as I'd like to, see this team competing anywhere away from DP, I can't see a result, could be that it will be just "home wins only" for us this year, team just never looks dangerous at all and it wont until at least four or five riders start putting some decent scores together at the same time, one's, two's and three's and you end up like tonight "every" night?

Really must do better, we have to? :(

Couldn't have been closer with my prediction sadly, unfortunately our away performances are very easy to predict this season. On the plus side we are one of only two unbeaten sides at home this year! Still won't make the play offs though!

This as got to be the worst team ever to wear the blue and white apart from a few riders having a go they just can't win away from home
