Wolves V Coventry Mon 6th June 2016

Recommended Posts

The joke is that Howarth is an FTR but that's not Wolves fault.

That's debatable and I take your point.

Howarth is still young enough to benefit however the line between those that should qualify and those that shouldn't is very blurred.

The wrong thing is leaving promising British riders without an EL place if they want it.

And Howarth isn't even the top averaged FTR!

Time for a rethink on the system with better planning required.

Why would we?

Substitute 'you' for 'Gavan' and they have it spot on! Edited by lisa-colette

The draft was designed to bring riders on and progress but all thats happening is riders are scoring for fun in reserve then struggling when going up, denting their confidence and then dropping back down again.

Garrity had the right idea (for himself, maybe not his team) by riding in the 1-5 and look at his progress now, another level above most of the reserves (Steve Worrall apart)

Agree . Coventry would be top of the league if Garrity had started at reserve

I think that would depend on who they had signed in the top 5 as the extra second string. ..but for sure they would be a lot stronger. And fact is garritty would have got to spend plenty of time in the top 5 anyway.

No fault of Wolves and well done to Pete Adams for getting in PK. But the rules are nonsense. .

They could have helped themselves anyway by signing a rider up to the points limit instead of Woryna. That is more of an issue than Garrity.

He is doing well in the top 5 so he was right that he could cope there. However starting at reserve & then moving up would have made us a lot stronger. Our reserve riders are more like tier 2.

Not arguing with that, but in the long term (if one can debate in such terms given the current worries over Coventry) Woryna could be something hot for the Bees. I quite accept that the focus of Coventry fans is naturally a lot shorter than that this season.

I expected much more from Garrity and thought he would be pushing King for a heat leader spot at the very least. He is doing his job though, often beats reserves and holds his own against other second strings and beats the odd heat leader now and then.

Having said that, I was quite supportive of Michael Palm Toft who I felt did well in the top five for Belle Vue and Garrity isn't too far behind his final Aces average so he can't be that bad after all.

I didn't expect to be justifying how good Garrity is by saying he is nearly as good as MPT though.

He's been scoring more than his 5 average in most meetings which is good. As well as reserves he's also beaten quite a lot of main riders including Doyle, Nicholls, Cook, Bridger, Andersen, Buzz, PK, Kylmakorpi, Masters.

Really? Even with Garrity at reserve not sure the top 5 is strong enough.

don't take it as we, but the We hate Poole (Matt Ford) keyboard army who use this forum.

Theres only a top 4 of Garritt was in reserve. You honestly think that Stead, PK or some other 6.5 rider replacing Bates on the 1-5 wouldn't make Coventry stronger? Hahahahaha Edited by SCB

Trouble is if he does reach the 'hot' stage he will be off to Poole so that wouldn't be any benefit to Coventry.

And of course there would have then been the option of waiting til woryna had a spell at reserve then replacing with a bjerre type rider. Not that bees would strengthen so sensibly of course!

KK at 1 is dodgy for any club in any season.

Harris no issue.

King as H/l is an issue.

Woryna is a weak signing compared with the amount of points you had spare.

Assuming you couldn't find a suitable rider with the points spare and signed Woryna instead you suddenly assume there is another suitable rider to fill the place of Garrity. Hahahaha.

PK was never an option as he has already said in press he wouldn't ride for anyone but Wolves .

So given how easy you're suggestion when are you making this season changing move then??

Hahahahaha
