EnglishRoundabout 1,752 Posted August 10, 2016 Thought it would be a shame not to pass comment on last night's meeting. The Scorpions kept the table topping Rebels honest throughout without ever looking particularly threatening. Numerous re runs prevented momentum and a very dusty track made visibility at the end, very difficult. Good to see Jake Allen back to his best and Tungate continued his sublime form around the OTA, apart from his one blip in heat 11. For the visitors, I thought Palm Toft and Douglas fought hard to keep their side in it. Ronnie Allen's decision to exclude Wilson-Dean ensured he suffered the wrath of the home fans and Bradley just about managed to avoid being fined by the experienced referee by keeping his hands down and gesturing to the refs box as he trudged disconsolately back to the pits. I firmly believe this is the most exciting Rebels team. Certainly never a dull moment and a team packed full of racers.

Shouldhave gone to Specsave terrible decision. Ht1 was bad enough never seen that before. we had more reruns in this meeting than all season. wonder what/was the main reason...........RA
Gresham 928 Posted August 10, 2016 The decision to exclude BWD was ridiculous...how he didn't see he was taken out is beyond me. There is photographic and video evidence to prove how wrong RA was in his decision. Never seen a heat one like that before...or that many re starts. Shame...it took an hour to run 7 heats last night...ridiculous. Shame the track got so dusty, especially after they watered it so much beforehand. Somerset is always so windy and open to the elements...they do a fine job considering. Just to add...the music was great last night, as was the presentation. The lad on the mic made an effort to entertain by chatting with the crowd with a bit of banter. ;-) Praise where appreciated...it made the meeting far more enjoyable as a whole round experience.

Scunny boy just rides straight into the side of BWD. How more blatant can it be and the ref still gets its wrong! Really think Debbie and Garry should get the ref's box sponsored by Optrex or Specsavers just for the irony because the refereeing didn't help the meeting last night.

Be thankful you had just one rider wrongly excluded - in Heat 1, Scunthorpe had two Ronnie Allan was shocking as usual... surely it's time for him to retire. All the best Rob
