Hamish McRaker 604 Posted November 25, 2016 The clock is ticking. Surely, there has to be a deadline? The league cannot just keep waiting to see if these two are actually going to run next season. Is there another club lined-up to make up the numbers? What can Chapman and the BSPA actually do?
Theboss 727 Posted November 25, 2016 (edited) I can't imagine sky will wait around due to scheduling. Maybe BSPA can reduce TV payments to the 7 remaining clubs by 20% and use that money to fund the running of belle vue. That would make most financial sense and be best for sport as it is the national speedway stadium. Edited November 25, 2016 by jchapman

Is there another club lined-up to make up the numbers? What can Chapman and the BSPA actually do? The BSPA have guaranteed that they'll run, in the case of Belle Vue they are to appoint a promoter to act on their behalf for up to three years, this has been agreed with the council and has probably progressed further than we know already.

stevebrum 6,831 Posted November 25, 2016 More scare mongering. The BSPA have declared they will run. I'm sure they are aware of who is going to be involved at both clubs.

SCB 15 Posted November 25, 2016 Belle Vue have a promotion lines up, it's just tidying up loose ends. While the BSPA seem very confident that Leicester will run so don't see it being an issue

MattK 3,447 Posted November 25, 2016 Seven fans from the crowd will be selected at random to form a team.
ouch 1,199 Posted November 25, 2016 After doing what they did the BSPA in crowd have to ensure Belle Vue's continuation. To oust a promotion without a cast iron guarantee of something else taking it's place is foolish to say the least. So in that respect I'm very apprehensive.
