Schwantz34 17 Posted March 23, 2019 Wish they would extend the highlights package to 52mins again, so much close racing on the Saturday left out. Highly disappointing

Conkers 67 Posted March 29, 2019 Roelof Thijs Bokaal Heerenveen, 29.3.19 1 Konstantin Kolenkin (Russia), 2 Jimmy Olsén (Sweden), 3 Matti Isoaho (Finland), 4 Markus Jell (Germany), 5 Jasper Iwema (Netherlands), 6 Jimmy Tuinstra (Netherlands), 7 Simon Reitsma (Netherlands), 8 Albin Lindblom (Sweden), 9/10 Luca Bauer (Germany), Josef Kreuzberger (Austria) 11/12 Marc Geyer (Germany), Franz Mayerbüchler (Germany), 13/14 Jiří Wildt (Czech Rep.), Philip Lageder (Austria), 15/16 Andreas Lindblom (Sweden), Bart Schaap (Netherlands) 17/18 David Lizák (Czech Rep), Jimmy Hörnell (Sweden), 19/20 Niek Schaap (Netherlands)/ Pontus Fick (Sweden) 21/22 Jani Koivula (Finland), Robert Růžička (Czech Rep), 23/24 Robert Irving (GB), Kevin Arzl (Austria) Entertaining evening all round with the Dutch riders starting to make an impact at this level. Kolenkin was, as expected, unbeatable, although Jell and Olsen did challenge him in some heats. Got to feel sorry for the Schaap brothers, both suffering engine failures in knockout heats when in a position to move forward.in the meeting. Iwema fell in his semi final and failed to make the A final, Jell fell in the final, denying him a possible rostrum place. Good to see Erik Gundersen in attendance at the meeting, sat in his scooter in the press room, and enjoying the racing. Managed to get a photo of him and Nikolai Krasnikov together. steve69 49 Posted March 30, 2019 A good sized crowd for last nights meeting with Kolenkin as a worthy winner. Jimmy Olsen looking good & fast on his ex-Dmitry Khomitsevich machine. Appeared to give Jell a nudge coming out of turn 2 in the final which pushed Jell slightly off course. In my eyes Jell rightly excluded for the stoppage. My money is on Daniil Ivanov to regain the World Championship by tomorrow evening. The track is tight & rutting up quite quickly. So a good start or a fast into pass out of turn 2 or 4 will be the order of the day. But would love to see Koltakov retain the title but 4 pts is a lot to pull back. But saying that Valeev is 2 pts clear. Really looking forward to the racing. Nice to see the Edinburgh fans back. Don`t drink too much guys n girls. Hope I didn`t get in your way too much at the podium last night Conkers. Great pic of Simon Reitsma punching the air after a race win. Looking forward to seeing the rest on your website or through the Getty website. Also great pic of Erik G & Krasnikov. See you this evening. Anyone thinking of INZELL 2020 I was speaking the Nikolai Krasnikov in the pits car park yesterday (think he is there helping Koltakov) & he said 1000% (yes one thousand!!!) he will be doing the Gunther Bauer meeting on the thursday before the WC weekend. So 3 meetings next year & a lovely place to visit. Quiet & beautiful.

Schaap* 7, Serov* 2, Busch* 1 Not as big a crowd today, but some great racing. Danil won after his Semi Final Win, and sat back in the Final, confident of finishing. Koltakov took silver but the look on his face said it all. expect him to come out fighting next season. Good to see Valeev hauling back from a nightmare yesterday to finish with Bronze, and Khomitsevich fails to make the rostrum for the first time in eight years. Weber was the best of the Western riders but had a poor weekend compaired with Berlin and Inzell, Svensson's are just so good, and Martin Haarahiltunen showed what we missed in Inzell. Tomi Tani retired at the end of today's meeting, along with Simon Reitsma, and both took a lap of honour, to end their careers. Simon's 12 year old son has a bike so look out for Sebastian Reitsma riding for the Netherlands in the near future. Plenty of old riders in attendance, including Erik Gundersen, who is still a massive fan of the Ice. Sat in the Press room watching the racing from his scooter through the masive windows, then occasionally sitting out in the press seating for a crafty fag!
