tomazpozrl 8 Posted May 23, 2004 OMG do they have to go through semis to qualify then? looks to me that Jamie is sixth on a countback. Yes Jojo top 3 from both semis qualify for the next round.

tomhaines 68 Posted May 23, 2004 What does (w) mean in a race? Cos Kyle got a w in his semi Schlein qualified. Smith along with Legault didn't as they were 4th in their semis

tomhaines 68 Posted May 23, 2004 rezerwowy............i guess this means hes a reserve??? if so.........why is Jamie Smith the reserve and not Legault??? well done RooBoy!!!!! I can only assume it is because Jamie beat Kyle in heat 9. Seems pretty unfair really cos Kyle got 11 points compared to Jamie's 9 Although it wouldnt really be worth Kyle travelling from Canada to Austria/Sweden to be a reserve! Not very happy with this new system of qualifying though. We had one a few weeks ago where somebody was untouchable in his 5 races then lost the semi and was out! Midnight_Lady 2 Posted May 23, 2004 Congratulations to the winner Miskowiak and a big well done to Rory in getting third spot Those Poles are sure hard to beat on their tracks
Jojo 0 Posted May 23, 2004 I do not have a problem with having semis etc at a Grand Final, but why the need for semis during a quarter final? both Jamie and Kyle would have made it through after five races.
iris123 20,996 Posted May 23, 2004 Have to agree with tomhaines and jojo this idea from the GP`s is totally wrong for quali`s Maybe the system they are using here in Germany where the top 8 go into semi`s and a final but the total points scored go to decide the 6 that go through. That way you get the best racing against each other but its the total meeting that counts
Jojo 0 Posted May 24, 2004 Even worse for Jamie, is that he says he is NOT first reserve. He said it would take two of these six qualifiers to drop out before he could get in.. So, it would appear that his dream is over..
